Wow I must say I am proud of my 4 yr old for putting christmas gift wraps in the trash bag that we have ready for him after each gift that he opened on christmas day... Just a suggestion, You can ask or train your kids specially the big ones to put the gift wraps in the garbage bag each time they opened presents or get them to help you pick those papers up after the party like what you are doing.. It's fun to do it all together for sure and that will train the kids to clean up after themselves for sure. get them to help you and train them lol .I hope you and your family have a wonderful New Year!!
Suggestion...keep a large trashbag out while gifts are being opened, and people can ball up wrapping paper as gifts are opened, tossing them to individual, (usually my husband) who's in charge of bag. Keeps cleanup down to nearly nothing. My decor will come down this week. I enjoy the quiet of week after Christmas, relaxed time.
This is what we do... no cleaning to do afterwards. My youngest (6 year old) loves to be in charge of the wrapping paper bag. She tells everyone "see if you can make it" and moves it across the room, like shooting free throws. Everyone thinks it's fun.
Almost all my Christmas decor are down. I have 2 trees and some of the outside left. But I would say 90 percent is done. I want it down immediately once Christmas is over I'm done.

So happy you had a great Christmas. Growing up Santa left his presents unwrapped. You would still have presents from mom and dad and aunts and uncles ect… to open Xmas morning. When my kids where little I did the same thing. It cuts down the amount of wrapping paper and also not so much to wrap. So happy you’re kiddos loved everything Santa brought them. Happy new year.

We always opened one gift at a time. Paper immediately put in garbage. Our littles always loved being in charge of garbage sack. When done, everyone picked up their gifts and den was clean! Now, only my 91 year old mom who has dementia gets gifts. Can’t overwhelm her anymore with hours of gift giving! Love every second with your family. When my kids were home, we took all Christmas decor and tree down Christmas night. My son and hubby were big duck hunters so Christmas Day was the only day they gave me. All down and straight before we went to bed.

Well, it's safe to say that Christmas in America is in no way eco-friendly. I mean all that paper and plastic won't even be recycled, will it? It just baffles me. The planet is dying people. There will be no Christmas when we'll all be extinct.

Why always blame America? Most of the world pollution is coming from China and India. The majority of the ocean pollution comes from 2 rivers no where near America. It's important to care, waste less, and recycle, but let's not pretend the problem is only caused by 1 country. Also, plastic recycling (which I still do) is a scam. Most of it doesn't end up being recycled.
There’s actually no way to prevent it. Everything comes packed in plastic, boxes etc…. in stores. So that’s life get a grip. It’s a bit of exaggeration. Plastic, paper and cardboard can all be recycled so no problem lol 😅
I grew up always having the traditional turkey dinner on Thanksgiving AND Christmas. My family finally agreed to something different this year, so we had baked salmon, loaded baked potato, and asparagus. It was perfect! Delicious without slaving away in the kitchen for days, lol. We still had our usual appetizers that we snacked on for lunch, and Christmas cookies.

I am just now getting over an upper respiratory infection that had me sick as a dog Christmas Eve & Christmas, but we celebrated Monday & Tuesday with my family; it was so nice. I have a ton of laundry to catch up on, so I’ll have this on in the background for sure. Hope y’all are healthy soon!

My after-holidays cleaning ritual includes a new scent from Mrs. Meyers or Method all purpose spray plus air freshener after Lysol on the door handles, door mats, surfaces 😊 and a new front door wreath in white or yellow flowers. This year is Mrs. Meyer's compassion flower - it is a new year re-set that I enjoy very much 🌸
I remember my house looking just likes your on Christmas morning after all the gifts were opened even we got garbage bag for each child it somehow happened to be all over the floor. It only last a few years enjoy the mess. Happy New Year
You really had a mess to clean up but it is always fun for the children. I know because my children are 45 and 40 now and we have lots of grandchildren. We always had a mess like that. It is so sweet to see the children dig into Christmas.
For the area rugs i use the lower suction on the dyson or it pulls it up. We used to do bacon, egg and cheeses on bagels for breakfast/brunch. Ive heard of people having the kids ball up the wrapping paper and trying to throw it in the trashcan from where they are sitting. Making a game of it. You can use used wrapping paper to make cards, its called tea bag folding. Just keep one piece of each pattern.
As a child my dad made breakfast tacos for the family. My grandparents on both sides plus aunts and uncles and cousins would all be there on Christmas morning. Dad passed when my girls were babies so it is a way for me to on him by making them every Christmas morning. Papa Tom’s breakfast tacos will always be on the menu Christmas morning❤️

I got a shark cordless vacuum for christmas and a bissell rug shampooer. Also, a waffle maker. I like getting things I will use. I love the cordless vacuum. We leave our decorations up until the 2nd week of January. Get the most out of it.

The handheld vacuum part of dyson is crazy awesome for stairs and couches. So much easier. The first time i vacuumed under my bed and behind it, i was blown away by how much the dyson picked up. The first time i used it, i had to empty it every room, twice in the bedroom and i vaccum. Though i have the smaller canister because its lighter.
I have had my corded yellow dyson for over ten years and to this very day still has suction and you still won't believe how much it picks up and that is even since our 2 cats have passed on and my two boys are on their own. We are still using it to this very day and I was looking to find a cordless vacuum and maybe I will check into one like yours.

Girl I literally jus got over the stomach infection it was awful so painful!!!& then caught one of those virus while it’s the holidays so I had to power through for my kids …& I ALWAYS make the grench pancake’s & Christmas breakfast since my kids were little as well & then we do a small Christmas dinner & I have the Dyson as well when I first got mines I did the same thing as well lol 😂

Yess this is why I didn’t paper wrap any Amazon delivery’s because it was already in a box 😅 and then I recycle box and no mess ❤️

Living in South Dakota, we had 2 separate blizzards with -40 windchills which I believe is what has kept us healthy. All of our Christmas is down

I have had my corded yellow dyson for over ten years and to this very day still has suction and you still won't believe how much it picks up and that is even since our 2 cats have passed on and my two boys are on their own. We are still using it to this very day and I was looking to find a cordless vacuum and maybe I will check into one like yours.
I took ur tree down at 12 midnite Monday morning that was the first time I ever did that nd I'm goin too do it again next yr.

Girl I literally jus got over the stomach infection it was awful so painful!!!& then caught one of those virus while it’s the holidays so I had to power through for my kids …& I ALWAYS make the grench pancake’s & Christmas breakfast since my kids were little as well & then we do a small Christmas dinner & I have the Dyson as well when I first got mines I did the same thing as well lol 😂

Would have driven me crazy. I clean up the wrappings as the kids and grandkids unwrap, at least the floor is clear and we can continue our day with food, family and football. Great job getting the floor nice and clean.

You know you are a professional cleaner when you love to get vacuum cleaners as a gift I have three or four vacuum cleaners and I love all of mine of course all of mine are shark vacuum cleaners I just cannot change from a shark to anything else it is my favorite
I got the hoover spot cleaner and I went to town cleaning all the carpet on my stairs lol
