Great video! I normally like your videos, but I particularly enjoyed you having Ray there to talk about it together. You should try doing this more often if people are up to it... I really liked the music at the beginning too. Do you know the artist?... I would be curious to see a short follow-up video once you do try them together. While I like what I see with this version, I was kind of hoping it'd be more of an expansion and it sounds like it's not really. I'd still consider getting it as I do like the prequel movies, but it does seem a bit pointless of a purchase when already having the original version.
Thanks. We like to do these together occasionally. The music is from the TH-cam audio library.
Love the SW dad jokes!
@@JamesOrr1987 Glad you like them.
Thank you for all your videos ❤! Question please: Do you know any interesting Air combat board games? 😊
Undaunted: Battle of Britain, Fighters of the Pacific, Wings of Glory. Hope this helps.
Cody has done some reviews of some really good ones. Wings of war is old and fun. Age of dogfights is another really good game. I also enjoy Duel in the dark.
@@TheDiscriminatingGamer Thank you 😊
@@RayPhay Thanks 😊
I like the idea of this, but it's a game that pretty much plays itself, at least the first one.
Eh? What do you mean by "plays itself"?
How does it go strategy wise, ie I HAD the original but sold it as the Empire felt way too locked in to a certain strategy to even have a chance of winning. I like deck builders with an array of viable strategies. My fav non-co op deckbuilders are shards of infinity and starrealms.
@@slipcapone1466 I disagree. I’ve won as the Empire many times by playing different bases and buying certain types of cards. This version is the same in that regard for both factions.
Are the republic over powered based on your review ?
I do not think so. All of the games have been really tight. And looking back on the games I see where things could have been done different to change the outcome.
@@Janisurai Yeah, it came down to the wire every game.
The new factions have some decent ideas in them, but I was really hoping they we're going to add an expansion to the first game. It was fun, but had a multitude of problems with the galaxy row clogging up too easily, the force tug of war being very one sided, and Empire just being significantly harder to play.
They clearly intended to do so at some point, as so many major characters and ships are completely absent from the game.
@@BlitkriegsAndCoffee I’m really hoping we see an expansion as well. As far as this game goes, didn’t have the problems you did. Great game.
Has Fantasy Flight said anything about an expansion for the first game?
@@westcoastavengers1 Not to my knowledge. I mention this briefly in the video.
They mentioned the system will become a sustained model, and they seemed to be considering expansion content.
I really enjoy the SW Deck Building Game but I can’t seem to find this one anywhere? Is it out already or did you receive an advance copy?
@@patrickols It’s available on Amazon.
Does this have Yoda or Palpatine? I'm only interested in an expansion with those characters.
Nyet.
