    any issues with these falling off?> seen a few vids suggesting the magnets arent that strong

    Subscribed! Enjoyed your review and photography. Well done. I’ve recently downsized my gear to three lenses, a Nikon D810 (backup) and a new Nikon Z8 which is not my primary body. I have two lenses with 77mm filter size I have another one with 95mm. Looking hard at the K&F magnetic system or possibly KASE. Maven and PolarPro are too expensive. Freewell is not waterproof. Breakthrough Photography has not released their magnetic filter system yet but experience tells me it’ll be great and very expensive.

      Thanks for subscribing and supporting the channel and for watching the video, much appreciated. I really enjoy using the filter kit and as yet found no problems with it whatsoever. Nice strong magnet and easy to function.👍🏻

    I also bought this product. One thing I like it BUT on their website it is said even with all 3 filters no Vignetting with 16 mm wide lenses. That is not true at all with 16mm and ND + CPL Filter I get really bad Vignetting in all corners. I am suing a 67 mm lens. Would it make any differences getting the 82mm kit and use a step up ring?

      Thanks for watching. I will ask K&F your question and get back to you👍🏻

    Hi Mark. Great review. May I ask if when only CPL is used, can you see any vignetting at the widest angle? And also can you add lens hood on top of polarizer? Thanks

      Seascapes without a lenshood seem strange and stupid. Useless !

    so.. you need to put magnet ring first to attach filter?

    • @MarkKerton
      @MarkKerton  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s right, yes, first, you need to screw the magnet ring onto the Lens which will then enable you to swap the filters as required👍🏻

  • @mikeswoods
    @mikeswoods 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    The K&F magnetic filter set would be great if they decide to sell additional magnetic ring adaptors so you can then use the filters on multiple lenses, otherwise its back to screwing the ring on each time you want to use them 🤞

      @@MarkKerton Brilliant thanks Mark. Its a shame as K&F make really good equipment and I have bought from them on several occasions, but with regards to the magnetic filter kit, it would be better if you could also buy additional magnetic ring adaptors to fit to other lenses (as we all have too many lenses !!). BTW you have a new subscriber so keep up the good work :📷👍

    • @MarkKerton
      @MarkKerton  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah thanks Mike, really appreciate your support on the channel. They come back and said the magnetic ring isn’t currently available on its own, which is a bit annoying! However, the rep said she would put my request forward to the production team, so fingers crossed🤞🏻 Thanks again Mike👍🏻

    Great video. Magnetic seems to be the way it's going. But K&F letting the side down. By not introducing a kit with 3 and 6 stop filters invluded.

    Great vid thanks... one thing... are other K&F circular filters compatible with the the magnetic system?... would like to get the soft grad and a 3 stop ND... can't find what the compatibility is. Cheers

    • @MarkKerton
      @MarkKerton  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Colin. I suppose you could thread you polariser on first and then pop the magnetic ring on the polariser. I'll look into it for you.

    If its true that they dont do a 3 stop and 6 stop and there is only a 10 stop available then its a pretty pointless system in my opinion as you wil need to take your original system if u wanted use 3 or 6 stops

    Loved the vid Mark and subbed but if you have various lenses of different sizes i think it could get expensive ...
    That lens you was using maybe a #67 or 70+ ... so what im saying to cover all your lenses on the bigger side like a 150 to 600 you would have to purchase the bigger kit to start with .. Just my thoughts... Anyway loved the enthusiasm and your vlog ... keep it up ... all the best

      Thanks Fitzy, appreciate your support. I know they are now selling step down rings. Unfortunately they are not selling the magnetic rings separately for some reason? I have fed this concern back to them so watch this space. Thanks for watching

    The place is lovely! Great review as well. How strong are the magents tho? That's the only thing keeping me from buying this. I've heard that the magnets are weak and can easily drop off the lens.
    Have you had that problem ?

    Mark, thanks for the video.
    What are the downsides optically of buying the 77mm set version instead of 82mm and adapting up (my 82mm is a Tamron 150-500mm which I rarely use). Some cutoff possibly?
    The other lenses I have are 72mm, 67mm and 49mm and am happy to adapt down for them.
    Just want to save bit of space and weight, but not vital if there associated disadvantages on the Tamron

    do you feel confident in the strength of the magnet when moving the camera around? are you not worried about the filter not disengaging unintentionally?

      Yes, I gave the camera a good swing about and bump and the filter stayed on fine👍🏻 Thanks for watching
