It was riding in my older brother's T110 and double adult Watsonian chair (think he paid £30 for it) as a nine year old that got me going, heavily reinforced by a school visit (1969?) from the great John Cooper - he arrived on a lovely red and chrome A65 if memory serves. First bike in '72 was a '55 Enfield Airflow Clipper - finances didn't run to a Crusader!
I was five or six, I was sat on our gate outside our house in Retford in 1965 when a couple of lads turned up on brand new BSAs. The bikes were sparkly red and chrome, LOUD and the lads were giving them some stick.
Good luck with the channel. I'd randomly happened on you both while 'surfing' and liked your eclectic mix of classic/vintage bikes. I currently ride a 1970 Triumph T100c that returned from the States, Philly I believe. Anyway, again Best of Luck.
I remember that Royce Creasey article and if I recall there was also an ad for Velocette 350/500 NOS stand alone motors, from Pride % Clarke, Comerfords or some such in the same edition of Bike for 'pennies', where's my time machine. Needless to say the machines i ride are old and oily. All the best for 2025 , looking forward to ELK Ardingly shows already, thank you.
Your Commando's both sounded great from behind coming back from the Airport Cafe 👍

Just discovered and subscribed to your channel. Was it you i spoke to at the Dragon rally a few years ago? You were on a Vincent.
Not us, I went to the Dragon rally just the once, about 40 years ago on my Honda 125..
Good luck with your new channel Julie. I live in Uckfield and if you are looking for material get in touch
Thanks - a KTT sounds awesome!
Always nice to see a Commando! Is that a Tay Valley Norton club neck scarf?
Certainly Norton Owner's Club, think it was from HQ but I'll take a closer look!

Yup, we're back in Ashford on Easter Monday for the Ashford Classic Motorcycle Show and Autojumble on Bank Holiday Monday 21 April 2025.
