    A little bit about inferiority complex:
    If a person with inferiotity complex achieve something, they believe that it was due to "luck" (due to them belivieng that they're incapable). A kind of luck they don't think they deserve.

    In the complex realm of human psychology, superiority breeds disconnection, inferiority fosters overcompensation, and God-like aspirations defy societal norms. Persecution fuels irrational suspicions, parental echoes linger in development, and horror polarizes views of women. Guilt burdens, while martyrdom seeks attention through self-sacrifice. These psychological intricacies shape our perceptions, urging self-awareness and empathy in navigating the complex tapestry of the human mind.

    Just curious, but the example you gave of persecution complex sounds off to me - you said the paranoia-like feeling (my words, not yours) is usually irrational and exaggerated but when women are afraid a person walking behind them at night might harm them there is a precedent for that. Wouldn't a better example be when students believe their bad grades are a result of the teachers' personal feelings about them?

    • @Box.Family
      @Box.Family  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      I think it’s interesting. However I could argue that for the number of women that end up getting harmed in that situation compared to the number of kids that actually get worse grades because they’re teachers don’t like them are not disproportional. For example my sister doesn’t walk alone at night because there’s the thought something may go wrong and a student doesn’t disrespect their teacher because it could have a negative impact on their grade. I think what is getting misconstrued is that you are taking these complexes as inherently negative when a persecution complex ends up saving women(or student) from getting in a bad situation is using it for good👍🏻

    • @bilberrybird3925
      @bilberrybird3925 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +22

      I was thinking the same thing. I wouldn’t called being catious while walking at night a complex, just part of the female upbringing/experience in a way lol.
      But of course theres different levels and it doesn’t have to be exclusive, women with a persecution complex will probably be much more scared of walking home at night

    • @Fangria
      @Fangria 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      @@Box.Family the issue comes from calling a rational fear of a bad situation a persecution complex in the first place. if im in a area known for high crime rates and im scared that doesnt mean i have a persecution complex. its a bad example that makes you look like you are calling women illogical and irrational which is obviously mysoginistic, which combined with you calling the persecution complex especially common nowadays really does make it look like you're falling into far right ideas of a "victim complex"

      @Toast2005 it really is tough. But it makes people much more tough than the average Joe. I pushed myself into a career selling life insurance. It works quite well. When I don't make a sale, I write down what I think we're my flaws on my pitch. Every week I check what flaws were listed more than once and try to avoid those ones in particular. I save all the flaws for a total of a month before finding out if I missed any and work on fixing any of those too. My pitch is quite solid. That's something most people wouldn't do, simply because most people can't blame themselves hard enough to fix a problem until it turns around and tries to kill them.

    I don't know exactly if what I'm going to say is scientifically possible, but it seems I got the opposite of the parental complex. I'm a man who grew up with his mom, my dad died when I was six. According to the complex I should have ended with some traits from my mom but like in a premium version because I literally had no influence from a dad, it was all mom. But what I mean by "the opposite of the parental complex" is that the majority of my argues with her is about our disagreements on the way of doing things, thinking, organization, etc. It really seems that I got her opposite traits: I'm introverted asf (she is extroverted asf), she is very organized (I'm not), I'm calm and I like to take my time doing things (she walks around the house like a Ferrari doing like 3 or 4 things at the same time), etc.
    Like, please, I was really overprotected during my childhood and I've been figuring how it molded me, but I still can't identify my complex. I only know that this overprotection is a cause to my introversion, insecurities and shyness (which I've fought a lot with).

    Great video man but the part where you said superiority and inferiority are opposites isn’t exactly true
    A superiority complex is born from an inferiority complex as a method to cope with the pain.
    So if you are inferior you can either wallow in your sadness to cope, or you can just pretend you’re not inferiority and in fact are better than others to cope.
    They’re two sides of the same coin and God complex is just a more extreme superiority complex

    I noticed you left out 4. I don’t believe they’re in the DMS-5 but I still find fascinating none the less.
    You missed Hero complex which is when a person makes dangerous situations just so they can end up saving someone and being seen as a hero. Famous examples would be Batman and some cases of stolen valor like Jonathan Kieth “Jack” Idema, and Phoenix Jones who was a vigilante in Seattle and I believe one of the most well known.
    There is also savior and rescuer complex which Carl Jung brought up that most toxic relationship tend to have. A savior complex is when you believe you can fix the other person and the relationship and hold them to your standard of perfection. Like the classic good girl and bad boy couple. On the other hand a rescuer complex is the belief one doesn’t have to change in order to improve in their love life or life in general and are just waiting for their knight in shining armor that fits perfectly with their needs.
    And my personal favorite is the redeemer complex. Which is a person who believes that making others suffer through great pain and tragedy can help them become better people, and if they don’t they are evil in nature. Classic examples would be John Kramer from the Saw movies or the Spanish Inquisition which John Lamb Lash brought up when he coined the term in his book “Not in His Image.” He also included that in order for the one to have the complex they need to believe in a male god which personally I don’t agree with and I believe he was projecting his own dislike for Abrahamic religions.

    I don’t really understand though, does a person just have one complex that they’ve had their whole life or do people adopt different complexes based on changes in their life and views? Because I feel like I’ve had traits from every single complex at some point in my life just based on how I’m feeling at that time and in that certain situation, it’s not a set list of things I do in every day life but that could be because I don’t have any complex?? Does it count as a persecution complex if you're always on edge that someone else is going to have a persecution complex with you? Like in my head I'm already apprehensive that they're going to accuse me of something based off of innocuous details or reaching with circumstantial evidence. I feel like having that concern could be it's own persecution complex in a way, though I never act on it or say anything. If there's another term for this, what is it?
