- How to use self-adhesive clear sticker paper you can custom print with any inkjet printer and normal ink. This video tutorial will explain how to print custom stickers at home or work. Order from our UK/international store at photopaperdire... or our US store at us.photopaperd....
You may need to adjust printer settings, depending on your printer brand. Refer to the included instruction sheet. These stickers adhere to non-porous surfaces, such as metal, glass, wood, and plastic.
Your gonna upset the people who charge unsuspecting folks a fortune this is what I was looking for but never found til now Bravo!
Hi, The sticker is meant to be permanent. If removed, some residue might be left, in such case you can clean it with a simple contact cleaner. Thanks for the comment.
Hi,
That is what this vinyl is designed for. Simply print in mirror / reverse mode and stick. Mirror mode is often one of the printing settings of most Inkjet printers. Otherwise make the design in MS Word which has an option to reverse the design. Mirror more is needed for text, an image does not require mirror mode. I hope this helps. Thanks!
Hi, the sticker paper is designed to adhere to the surface without an option to reposition it, hence it is robust and durable. You can improve it by applying a fixative spray as you suggested. We have many customers who apply the stickers to various items, including ones that are left outdoors which vouches for the quality of the adhesive. I hope this helps. Thanks for the comment.
Awesome! I'm making a poster, and so excited to find this. It will make my life so much easier! Thank you for the video.
Hi, yes that is correct. You need to print in mirror / reverse mode. Thanks!
Why you have to print on reverse? Dont seem like thats the case unless you plan on displaying something on the opposite side of glass.
I will be buying these at the beginning of next month. Thank you for your awesome product(s). I will be buying 50 sheets.
I'm going to try to stick this on a bottle of wine made from balloons. Balloons are porous but I think it will work, I will print the winery logo to make the bottle (3') look more realistic. It only needs to make it through an outdoor event. 🤗
You guys are really making things easier for us
Thank you!
Hi, Thanks for the comment. I would recommend applying a fixative spray on the sticker once you've placed it at its location. Search our channel for the fixative spray video. Thanks for the comment!
Yes. Epson L210 is perfectly suitable. Thanks for the comment.
i i bought a sticker like that and I would like to remove it now. Do you know what's the best way to remove a self-adhesive transparent sticker?
Can I use a espin l3150
Espon
Love it. Do you have any recommendations as to which printer to buy to print on your sticky clear film? probably too broad a question? Something that gives an excellent print quality . If there is a balance I would favour a higher intial cost than high priced ink. thanks for the video. just what I;ve been looking for and I sure would appreciate your advice.
Hi, we're unsure what 'sharpie' is however an addition to ink you can use pens to create your design instead of printing (or to supplement the print). Ball point pens and felt tips pens are good and water resistance is ok, however permanent markers are better. I hope this helps!
It's been a while, so you might know this now, but Sharpie is a name brand permanent marker in the US (perhaps other places). :)
@@kimberlific You can use a sharpie on this product.
How do you prevent smudging? I've experimented with this at home and my designs smudged.
Yes, very much so. It is often used on windows. Thanks for the comment.
Hi, what paper type on the printer settings should I use when printing out on the paper? Photo, matte, glossy, ultra glossy, premium glossy, etc.?
Thanks.
Hi, Epson® Printers:
Media Type: Photo Quality Glossy Film or "Ink Jet Transparencies
Print Quality: High print quality of at least 1440 dpi or optimal photo
For an Epson printer using Claria inks set "Epson matt" and "optimal photo".
Canon® Printers:
Media Type: Photo high gloss film Print Quality: High print quality.
HP® Printers:
Media Type: HP Premium high gloss film Print Quality: Optimal quality setting
Kodak®, Samsung®, Sharp® etc. Also supported
Select similar settings as listed above. I hope this helps. Thanks for the comment
This is amazing. Can I use it in the Laser Printer?
I have the Cricut Explorer Air 2 and the first settings I used was Vinyl, the 2nd time the settings was Heat. Transfer Vinyl (HTV) and it still wasn't couldn't cutting. I went through a whole pack of 10 sheets trying to cut 1 thing
I love clear sticker paper
Are they waterproof? I am trying to come up with some car decals. Thanks great vid!
What are the correct printer settings for printing on an Epson XP-600? and is it the settings that you set on your computer or settings on the printer itself? The default paper setting is Plain Paper. Would Photo Paper Glossy be a suitable setting? There's also an option for Letter 8 1/2 x 11in, A4 (210 x 297mm), and many others.
Well I guess this could make a good bicycle decal maker. I'm planning on spraying a gloss layer over the sticker to protect the paint and the decals. Hopefully I don't mess up.
Instead of spraying a lacquer, I just put another sheet over the first one. so, It has a sandwiched ink and I run t through a lamination machine. it just squeezes any air bubbles out. sure it's 2 sheets used, but it's 99% cheaper than buying them.
Thanks for your valuable input!
Is there any specific setting to use for printing? I tried printing a design on clear sticker paper, and it blend out a bit... so should I put it on low quality? I have an epson ink jet printer.
Hi, please use: Media Type: Photo Quality Glossy Film or "Ink Jet Transparencies
Print Quality: High print quality of at least 1440 dpi or optimal photo
For an Epson printer using Claria inks set "Epson matt" and "optimal photo". Thanks for the comment!
Hi,
It works with any Inkjet printer. Thanks for the comment.
Is ink tank ok? Google said the only difference between inktank and inkjet is that inktank is better
@@clemericaarcilla766 Yes, inktank uses inkjet inks so absolutely fine. Thanks for the comment!
Hi, have you checked that the print came out on the coated side? As well check that the paper is suitable for your brand of printer technology i.e. inkjet vs laserjet
Hi, if you print out an outline of letters and the cut them out, then applied to the surface, the letters will remain white. if left white, the letters will not rub out and will not let any background colour through. you can laminate them for protection if required. Thanks for the comment!
You can use automotive double acrylic spray.
Hi, yes, precisely. It works with any Inkjet printer and requires normal inks. Thanks for the comment!
Thanks for nice presentation, re; when using Self Adhesive Clear Sticker Paper!
Hi, vinyl sticker paper and magnetic papers are different. The vinyl will adhere to non porous surfaces using adhesive, the magnetic uses electrons charge. Delivery to Canada will average 3 to 5 workings days. Thank you for the comment.
Hi, Smudging should not occur, ever. Which printer are you using and which inkjet sticker have you bought? Thanks
Thanks a bunch for the tutorial, it'll help me loads!
Hi, This paper will only work with Inkjet printers. It is a result of the manner in which ink is dispersed onto the paper. Inkjet uses liquid jet ink, while laser uses hot fusion that will melt the coating. Thank you for your comment.
How does this paper handle if you want to print out simple white letters? They will be applied to a surface that is black, so I want the letters to be white so they stand out against the dark background? Will the color rub off if handled, I want to put these on my laptop? Can you laminate them to protect them?
Hi Roy,
Besides the spray, all our products can be shipped to the US. Visit our site for more information. Add a product to your basket and you'll be able to get the shipping costs without signing in / up. Thanks for the comment.
On HP, try using the option of 'other photo paper' in the settings.
Hello very nice. I use some of your other products...great quality...once the self adhesive clear paper sticker is applied like to a cup is the person able to use it or is it for decorative purposes only? thank you
See how you touched the sticky part!! No matter how clean my hands are i always leave a yucky fingerprint...and its really hard to align with the tip of an exacto,,, especially on a motorcycle.. Any tips guys??? Thanx. Derek..
I liked your video. Very well explained.
I really like this product, but I must know: does the printed design show up well on the opposite (sticky side)? I want to to stick it on the inside of my car window so the design can be seen from outside.
@henryhyva Thanks for the comment!
To make the clear design appear glossy you will need to apply glossy fixative spray. We have a video on the channel showing the fixative spray. It will cause the design to appear glossy and will improve the longevity of the design immensely. Thanks!
Hi, we have used a Kodak printer for this video, but you can use ANY Inkjet printer. Thanks for the comment.
Hi Photo Paper Direct. Can you propose a clear sticker paper for inkjet printer that would stick to wood?
hi, sorry, we haven't a sticker paper/film that sticks to wood. Thanks for the comment!
Great video. I want to print a photo and put in a journal will the writing still show through with this paper? I want it too a little ..thanks x
Hi, There are full setup instructions for this paper on the back of the printed insert enclosed with the product. In general terms, the paper is A4 size and the printer should be set to Glossy Paper or Glossy Film. Thank you for your comment.
Hi, You cannot re-position it. You can remove it, but it is meant to stay firm on the first application. Thank you for your comment!
Hi, We offer shipping to the US from our site. We are working with our partners to reduce the costs of overseas shipping even further. Thanks for the comment.
Hi from a purely 'rubustness' point of view if I were printing onto consumer products that are handled daily... then would this with a fixative be better or the decal approach? or is there an edge that will peel over time with lots of handling?
To explain...the problem I found with the decal approach way that every product had to be painted with spray, then the decal wetted and positioned, then wiped with fixer, and to be honest it took time, and was messy.
What would the best paper be so that the paper wouldnt be able to be removed, or a sticker paper which the glue is stronger than the paper?
excellent, im modifying a dj mixer and applying some graphics to it, the surface is smoooth steel would this paper be suitable?
Hello, What would happen if i use it to paste a desing on a guitar and then apply urethane paint would the chemicals of the paint wash of the desing of the paper??
hi i bought a sticker like that and I would like to remove it now. Do you know what's the best way to remove a self-adhesive transparent sticker?
After washing can you toss in dryer and dry????
Since there are 3 types of paper, glossy, matt, Satin, which is best to use for the Dark and Light transfer paper????
Linda Owens Hi, this is a video about sticker paper. It is not washable. Transfer paper is completely different. Thanks for the comment.
how long does the image last after being printed? does a coating need to be applied to keep it from being damaged?
Great product. Can this be bought in the USA?
Hi, we ship to the US daily. Visit our site for shipping costs. Otherwise if that proves too expensive, I'd try Amazon or eBay. Thanks for the comment.
Hi photo paper direct thanks for the video very much☺☺
i have seen many videos of youtube in which they shown to print on a cup with iron is that really work?
Hi RC-Nerd, there are special sprays for Inkjet such as Inkjet Fixative Varnish Spray Review By Photo Paper Direct I suggest you use these. Thanks for the comment.
I have been on your website and I would like to order some vinyl paper but I am in the U.S will i be able to order any product on your website?
I've printed pictures on white sticker paper and was wondering if I dare seal it to prevent anything from happening to the letters. (using ink jet printer)
Hi, if you're looking to improve the sticker durability, I suggest you look into purchasing a fixative spray. Here's the product in question th-cam.com/video/A3Ocd2go1ZY/w-d-xo.html Thanks for the comment!
Hi, Inkjet printers do not have white colour. Printer on the clear vinyl the 'white' will appear clear. Thank you for your comment.
one last question, is the clear film glossy? I'm looking to replicate a sticker that is glossy and I would like to use this product.
Is this paper good for printing DIY stickers to be used on paper?
+nicoles.journal Yes. They will adhere to any non porous surface. Thanks for the comment.
@beyondthegraveXL Hi, that will depend on where the image is placed. I've made a skin for my PS3 and it looks the same as the day it was printed. If you are planning to use it outdoors, I suggest using a fixative spray on the sticker. We have a video in our channel about using fixative varnish spray. Look it up.
So would wood not be a good surface? With mod podge over it?
If you spray transperent lacquer over the sticker, would the lacquer ruined the sticker?
i need it covered with transperant nitro lacquer so it wouldn't get ruined by stepping on it. Is this ok? or not?
Hi, there are specific sprays for sticker papers. Please look at our channel and search for 'fixative'. Provided you are using a similar spray, it works FANTASTICALLY well to protect the sticker from abrasion, UV light and water. Thank you for the comment.
Hi, I'm just wondering if it is dishwasher and microwave safe? Thank you for your reply.
Hi, The clear adhesive paper is not waterproof, the glossy and matt finish are. In all cases we strongly recommend using a fixative spray to improve the durability of the sticker. We have a video on the channel about using the fixative spray. Thanks for the comment.
hi very good video...i have hp officejet 4500 printer..can i print on that?and where i can order this paper??
Hi, our products work with any type of Inkjet printer, including yours. Thanks for the comment.
Hi, we ship to the US daily. You can order from the site. Thanks for the comment!
What software are you using to actually make the logo on the computer
@@donaldholden4923 Hi, you can use any image editing software, you can even use MS Word as we did. Thanks for the comment!
how difficult would this be to take off of a laptop & would there be any residue left on it?
Hi is it compatible with resin if I’m going to pour resin on will the resin affects the print?
Hi, yes. We have customers doing so already. Depending on the resin, some give the image a dusting of fixative if the resin has a water content. Thanks for the comment!
Hi there what is the name of the paper I am logos for my RC truck so I just want to see the lettering can you help please?
Hi, you will need printable self adhesive like the one in this video (clear). These are also available in matt and gloss. If the RC is petrol, I suggest using a fixative spray to protect the vinyl from the fumes. Thanks for the comment!
Would it be possible to sharpie a design onto the film rather than printing?
do you need to print mirror or normal mode to stic inside the car ??
how about the picture ill print has a white background but i dont want to print the white background do the printer will print the white background
hi! can you buy sticker paper where it prints out the stickiness on the front of the image or would you just have to print the image backwards? i’m wanting to stick it on the back of a clear piece of acrylic? what’s the best way to do that?
Hi, sorry, not familiar with printable sticker of this type. Thanks for the comment!
what kind of paper did you use? is some special sort of paper available in the market?
Can I use it on foil ballon’s ?
what is the exact paper you used in this video i looked on the website but was very unsure? thank u hope to hear from you soon
Hi i have a canon MG7160 inkjet printer and i have just tried to print clear stickers for my product but my logo keeps coming out streaky ? do i need different ink to my normal ink ?
Hi, The clear film needs to be printed as Normal Paper and Normal Resolution. If you print in high resolution (photo quality) the printed will lay down too much ink and will not dry. Set your printer to normal paper and normal print quality and the problem will resolve. Thanks for the comment.
Use what kind of spray?... And do I purchase the self Adhesive Clear sticker paper. I want to make labels for plastic and or glass bottles...
Hi, if you can get a hold of Inkjet fixative spray. It will cover the sticker in a protective coating. Thanks for the comment!
I want to get this to apply stickers to MacBook Pro, will sticker leave marks if removed?
Are these products available for people that live in the United States? I want to buy clear sticker paper for my printer, so I can print stickers for products I own.
Hi im using Epson L210 Printer. can i print vinyl paper on that?
Thanks
I have a hp laser and I have tried transparent and glossy and it still smears. Do you have any advice?
Hi, sorry the PPD range only suits Inkjet printers. Thanks for the comment!
Will the edges of the sticker be clearly visible if stuck on a flat plastic tray
Hi, this vinyl is clear therefore none printed areas won't be too obvious from afar. Close up you might be able to see the film depending on the background. Thanks for the comment.
Will the adhesive paper stick to Zip lock bags? I need the adhesive to stick on permanently. Thx
Hi, The sticker will adhere to non porus surfaces from plastic or glass etc. Thank you for your comment.
Hi, what can i use to coat a wine glass once i apply the sticker? the fixative spray?
Hi, fixative spray will indeed make the glass waterproof. Thanks for the comment!
My printer a Canon Pixma MG6851 doesn't have a transparency or clear film setting and when I did it the ink smudged...any ideas please?
Hi, you can try Media Type: Photo high gloss film. Print Quality: High print quality. That will help. Thanks for the comment.
Is this material very noticeable on black surfaces such as a computer case? (The clear parts)
Hi, you won't see the clear unprinted areas. If you intend to use the clear vinyl on dark surface, be sure to use white/light colours in your design (dark or dark won't be visible). I hope this helps. Thanks for the comment.
Best solution for me. :)
I can make my customised keyboard labels myself and print in one go for all my computers. ^^ For a fraction of the price you find preprinted labels.
Plus doing a fun customisation on a company mug. I have my idea. Hope this gonna make them laugh. =D
is it possible to use in ceramics material and how strong are the glue are they come out very easy?
Hi, these are not re-positionable so the glue is strong. You can adhere them onto tiles, however if you are doing so in the bathroom you will need to coat the film in a fixative spray - Inkjet Fixative Varnish Spray Review By Photo Paper Direct thanks for the comment.
Thanks for your help
can this be used to print text without background on tee shirts?
Hi, this product is an adhesive sticker. To transfer onto fabric, you will need t-shirt transfer paper. Thanks for the comment!
Can this be used as a clear cast decal on a tumbler ?
This clear self adhesive sticker is for dry, indoor use and is really sensitive to water so cannot be used where it might be washed or exposed to moisture. It is NOT suitable for use on tumblers unless for mock up or display purposes only.
it doest appear that you printed this in reverse/mirrored. I'm confused!
Hi, the PPD Clear Printable Vinyl has the adhesive in the back. Therefore you print normally. Thanks for the comment!
I'm wanting to make some window stickers and am wondering whether, instead of printing, can I paint the sticker paper with acrylic paints and then coat with the Fixative Varnish Spray?
OneDaftLady Hi, indeed possible. Due to the high absorption properties of the inkjet coating only specific paints will do the job. You will need to check with the paint manufacturer. We have been selling pens to draw and write on this film for years (www.photopaperdirect.com/categories/Creative-Paper/Inkjet-Photo-and-Film-Pens/), but haven't tried paints. Same should work with suitable paints. Once dry you can indeed apply a fixative. Thanks for the comment.
Photo Paper Direct That's great - thanks for the info :)
pigment ink required for this type of printing or eco ink can print this type of vinyl stickers
Hi, any Inkjet printer is suitable including HP, Canon, Epson, Lexmark, Kodak and other makes including Dye and pigment based inks. Thanks for the comment.
Can I use on the back of my Corning were counter saver ,?
Hi, the thin film makes it possible to go around curves and corners. Thanks for the comment!
