I like how they're just doing this to show future characters if they make another one of these. It's gratuitous but at the same time it's not. There's a cool cameo of some of our favorite characters but they're not shoehorned in. They're legitimately shown to be just everyday bots (as of this movie) in Cybertronian civilization. THey're not going to combine, that was unique just to the toyline. But here's hoping we can at least get a little reference to her team by having them be like Elita's "gal pals", maybe she's hanging and talkign to them before joining up with Orion for most of the film. Lot's of cool references they could throw into this film.

This might be spoilers but I'm honestly just guessing (or it might be obvious to everyone already) but read the following at your own discretion: Judging by the trailers we've seen, I think it's to be assumed that the main 4 bots are going to be given tcogs that belonged to the now deceased primes we see (onyx and megatronus at least have been shown). This kinda bugs me because in the aligned continuity, the only prime with a tcog is amalgamous prime but continuities have been blended together into new ones in recent years. My hope is that they'll show us who gets who's tcog and that elita will be given solus primes tcog and maybe that could hint at some divine connection between the god like prime and the young bot. Sorry I've rambled so much now. I'm a complete lore nerd and it shows way too much sometimes

If you check the leaderboards real quick you can see silverbolt, slingshot cliffjumper and deadend in the race
You can pick out the more obvious ones, but alot of these I'd say are best guesses. But I liked the names they picked.
