You are Fast becoming one of my favorite reviewers!!! I just bought one on Amazon, great to know your opinion on using my DAC , anxious to try both as you suggested. Paid full freight on the Cambridge unit but still very reasonable.. also my first Cambridge piece. Thanks again for another great review!
Appreciate the reply! I honestly love how the younger generation is embracing true hifi now. Very exciting.. your audience obviously loves your reviews. Will be hard to keep up as your channel continues to grow. So thanks again for your time and honest connection you build with viewership. Best of luck !
Keep an eye out for a used Onkyo C-7030 CD Player. I'm sure you'll be even more impressed. Although they're usually a little more money sometimes. They can be found cheap. I think I paid $140 shipped (used obviously) for mine. Has toslink out and all the wanted functions. Although the remote is required for some of them. A universal remote will work though. So no biggie. ✌️
I got my 7030 refurbished and my only complaint is that it's very sensitive. If I barely touch it it will skip but the quality of sound for the money, perhaps 180.00 six years ago, can't be surpassed!
Thanks for your time and straight to the point and fun reviews. I have recently subscribed and enjoying your content and presentation. I’m looking for a CD transport and I just wanted to ask, how you would compare the CXA35 as a transport vs CD transports you have experience with (I believe you own a Primare CD transport)? My other options would be CXC V2 or the Audiolab 6000CDT. Thanks
The CXA35 is excellent for the price point. I have heard great things about Audiolab however I have never heard or experienced their products in person. Thank you so much for the support!
I've just started looking at CD players and man I can't belive that $350 is budget and entry level...it seems like I can only find crappy boom boxes or crazy expensive hi-fi. I just want something to play my CDs and connect to my speakers. It's weird that records have become more popular that I can get a pretty decent turntable at $140 from audio technica but have to at least pay $300-400 for a CD player.
I love CA products! I have the CA CXN V2 and I love it! Streaming sounds great and the lossless file audio playback is awesome! I didn't buy it at a estate sale but I did get it 50% off refurbished from CA LOL! BTW did you ever review the Brennan B2 CD audio player with 2 tB of storage? Would love to see you review it! I have it and I love it! I've been converting my CD's in lossless format and storing it on the B2. Plus I have a ton of Flac files I purchased! it s a great storage/player device and its so easy to use! Hope you get a chance to check it out!
@@audioarkitekts Yes! The Brennan does have a built in burner but I rip from my Mac and store in on my portable HD and from that upload the files onto the B2. You can wirelessly transfer files through your network but that takes way to long as the lossless files tend to be pretty large. The B2 also streams as well! its a great device and a prize in my audio rack! I actually use it more than any other piece of audio I have! PS I misread your comment. Yes you can back up to you HD or PC from a Brennan. Is that what you mean?
My 2 cents: - No optical output - No CD Text support - The disc tray doesn't go all the way out, so putting a CD on the tray is not straightforward - Will play MP3 and WMA but not FLAC and other widespread audio formats - Available only in one color (grey) - Direct track selection available only via remote - Chinese made Personally, I would skip this one.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it and I look forward to hearing what you think. I really love this player!

Means a lot to me and your viewers !!!
Have you ever done a review on the gemini MDJ-600 ? I was wondering on sound quality and dac performance.
Thanks for the video. Can you jump to a specific track number or do you have to spam the skip button please?
Man wish there was a hunt in northern Michigan. Pretty sure I’m the only audiophile up here.
Pretty sure I'm the only one in south eastern Michigan lol

Hopefully I will stumble upon one 😀

Onkyo c 7030
I bought the Onkyo in 2015. It been great but is skipping some & not reading discs occasionally. I hate to replace it but it’s getting close. ☹️
This is what I would call an AMAZING FIND.
Exactly! I got super lucky!
Do you feel that adding a Schiit DAC would improve on sound?
Possibly, I do enjoy the Denafrips DACs quite a bit as well.
Thank you! 😊 I am looking for a newer player. A more forward midrange seems typical for British gear, so somewhat expected.
This would be a great option!

Nice T-Shirt !😉 I have this one too and i wear it on one of my videos 😛 Oh and nice channel by the way , i just discovered it and i like your content
Thank you for the support!
can you recommend which one better in audio quality compare with rotel cd 11?
I like the Rotel better.
Cambridge cd player sounds great but it is very choosy when it comes to cd playback. And very notorious to cdrs.
I am new to your channel I used to have that cd player i sold that player it was a good 👍 cd player, thanks for the video.
Thanks for the support
Is the Rotel cd 11 tribute worth the extra $
If you’re using it as a transport, no. If you want to utilize the onboard DAC then yes.
I wonder if the rotel11 tribute is way better

I think exploring the used market may be your best bet. Not many companies are still making CD Players so parts are more difficult to source.
@@audioarkitekts That makes sense, I'll give it a shot. Thank you for your feedback
Could you please suggest a high quality CD player with headphone output? Thanks.
Id rather go for a pioneer dvd player that has no problem playing any cds.
Does this support gapless playback?
Yes
How does this would work with an Onkyo tx8220 Receiver? Thanks
Must be nice to find a CD player at that price or even below $200
It was quite a find!

Great cd player
Sweet T shirt
The axc35 its not the budget one its the axc25 and when you show a picture of the matching amp you show the axc25

Wolfson dac chips went out of business at the worst possible time!
Cambridge have never made a bad CD player.
Audio gear ALWAYS sounds better when you get it CHEAP, ie well below market value
:)
I just got mine. $350? No… it $399 on Amazon. So 400
I have one of these. It does not always want to read a CD. After 40 years of using CD players, I can not recommend this model.
Well it should sound better with the $3,000 Evo Dac!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Id say.....nope to Cambridge cd players. It has issues playing cdrs and also sometimes doesn't play pressed CDs perfectly.
