Shaving My Head

I had long hair for so long. It was too long I went keeping it long without ever knowing it short. I don’t know how long I will keep it short, but I do want it long again.
This is my first time giving a haircut to myself, probably not the last.

Love your thoughts about affiliating with the alternative culture and with the rebelliousness of the shaved look. It always seems to me that the reasonable opposite of super long hair is super short hair - this is a SECOND great look for you! (Took some courage, but the reward is there!)

You looked fine with long hair, but I think you look awesome bald. I did the same thing you did about a decade ago. I have kept the bald head because I love it. And you know that bald by choice also is a bit of a counter-culture thing--and one that has become very popular among younger men. Anyway, you look great. Consider keeping the look.

You’ve got it! It was just two steps: cut and buzz. Three if you wanted to completely shave it. You can always go to a hair cutter if you don’t want the pressure of trying to make the buzz look even.

I still have the hair in a bag. It’s been a fun experience, and I prefer longer hair although I think I had it too long. Maybe that’s why I found it didn’t look good sometimes. I’ll grow it out again just not long as I did at the start of this video.

Hairline hasn’t changed much in the past couple years but whatever happens I’ll be fine. Men’s hairlines usually regress by mid twenties and then stay the same until late thirties.
Both my mom and dad have hairlines that go pretty far back, so what I have was to be expected.
