- Evolve.. A game set in a world attacked by huge rapidly evolving supermutants. It's a very fun 4v1 that allows you to become the endgame boss for 4 other people. Hunters are incentivised to fight the Monster early, as the more it feeds, the more it evolves and this can quickly become a serious problem as a Stage 3 Monster is very hard to defeat. Brilliant concept abandoned too early.
8 Years later and still tons of potential.. Absolute waste.

Another thing that I've been wondering, if you could make changes to the monsters (like Gorgon) what would they be? You got quite a lot of experience with the game so I'm curious about what you'd maybe chane
@@Void_Ghost_Beelz Gorgon is fine, she basically just needs slight number buffs. She can melt very easily against high damage teams and her damage isn't enough to keep up in those situations.
Just slight number buffs is all she needs.
@@lNeml Gotcha, I think it would be kinda cool to switch out the Mimic ability with a sort of minion ability, she *is* a spider after all, I thought it would be both cool and different since no other monster does that except for Wraith with one of her abilities, but instead of a copy of the monster, I’d be multiple small spiders that attack and distract, and with each level there would either be more or they’d get more health and damage

Ah evolve…I miss it so much, a console gamer I was for the longest time, stuck on old versions and such, really wish I had gotten to experience stage 2 but alas…not in the cards. Glad to see the community still here and there

Maybe that's not a thing anymore, but monsters used to sneak attack when there was only one more hunter left, since it was usually assault, and it provented him from getting anymore damage in

i just got a new computer, i used to play when it was released so thank you for reminding about this game, i can't recall how you play again is it still through the Evolve Stage 2 game as i still have it in my library?
i just recall an older video saying that you need to launch it differently as there are no longer servers.
Right click it in your steam library and go to properties. Under the Betas tab select Legacy Evolve
I miss this game, wish there was at least support for the servers to let people play online.
While I’m unsure if Evolve can still be a game due to balancing issues. I would like to see it as a show or comic series.
The action scenes between hunter and Monster would be a like war fought between Gods.
We would got a glimpse of it in the cutscene before menu appears.
Balancing issues with Evolve are 1 or 2 patches away from being fixed. There's nowhere near as many variables to balance because the game isn't drowned with perks.

I used to love this game, it's great, but if I remember correctly towards the end of my adventure I kept coming across people who, despite having more experience, played like bots, or even worse, when I was the weakest in the team, we couldn't handle the monster, because they were terribly unbalanced and it was impossible to defeat strong players with fucked up tactics. I regret that other creators didn't set the idea on fire and started making similar games (I think so, because I don't remember games where you are such a big monster), maybe this genre would have survived more alive to this day if there were more games where you fight as kaiju with people. I know that the game was very popular at its peak, but currently less than 100 players active at the same time for the last two years (according to steam charts), it's almost dead.
Any chance for an evac but with Meteor Goli and Elder Kraken?
