This is a reference to the Dark Forces Jedi Knight game series, where the dark Jedi cult had such swords. From this series, we could already see Dark Troopers used in The Mandalorian. Filoni is a big fan of Legends and uses the best of them in the canon. Dark Jedi - not inquisitors, there are speculations in the trailer that it will be Jorus C'Baoth and Mara Jade. We see Ezra for the first time on the hologram. Hera actor is the wife of Ewan McGregor :)

My God, do you think those force users can be from the Imperial Harvest program, just like the birthday of Jedi master Eeth Koth's child should have been after Vader killed him and the Inquisitors took his daughter, so she should have been included there.
