- Penyelamatan bayi orangutan bernama Galar Bandreng. Bayi Orangutan ini diserahkan ke Balai Konservasi sumber Daya Alam Kalimantan Tengah. Warga menghubungi call center unit penyelamat satwa liar balai konservasi sumber daya alam kalimantan tengah untuk menyerahkan bayi orangutan. Bayi orangutan ini kemudian dititipkan di Orangutan Foundation International (OFI) Pangkalan Bun untuk direhab.
Rescue a baby orangutan named Galar Bandreng. This baby orangutan was handed over to the Central Kalimantan Natural Resources Conservation Center. Residents contacted the call center of the wildlife rescue unit of the Central Kalimantan Natural Resources Conservation Center to hand over the baby orangutans. The baby orangutan was then entrusted to the Orangutan Foundation International (OFI) Pangkalan Bun for rehabilitation.

That's a great observation. The criminal who made this video will tell you that this is all normal because he has no clue about how to care for these animals and he simply does not care. He's only stealing these animals for the money!

What's with the Hazmat suits? All that for a tiny orang. They're not entering a nuclear power plant.
They want to make you think this is a legitimate rescue. It also helps these poachers conceal their identities.
It's to protect the orang-utan baby from pathogens that might make it sick, not the humans. It's very vulnerable to catching the same bacterial and viral illnesses that humans get, including colds, flu, and covid. It's already been exposed to anything the villagers have, but the wildlife workers are just trying to minimize the chance of them also infecting it.
Baby has not been tested yet for considerable serious illnesses that it could be carrying that could be devastating to the humans.
There are so many infectious diseases that the people and animals have there. I don't blame them for wearing the suits!
On one hand I don't want to be too hard on these people. They are clearly living in extreme poverty and are uneducated. But at the same time I cannot help but be irate that they killed this baby's mother, took the infant out of the wild, and chose to keep a wild animal as a pet. Honestly it's inexcusable behavior for anyone regardless of education or circumstances. The government needs to tackle the per smuggling industry head on, the rampant corruption must end...for the sake of these magical wonderful apes ❤️🦧

Look how young that thing is. If they are turning it in, they haven't had it long. It's a good turnaround time. My guess is someone they know did the deed, and these people got involved and are middle manning a rescue. If they were trying to flip a profit, they wouldn't have called in these folks. most the time these rescuers never get the phone call. Give this family the benefit of the doubt. Someone killed a mother I'm sure, just doubt it was them.

it's sad that this baby ape seems to be more of a curiosity and a toy than an orphan wondering what the heck happened to his mother!! Thank you for saving him/her!! I'm assuming that it survived.....Being rescued is just the beginning. I read that a lot of these baby Orangs die from disease and stress....after being rescued.....

The mothers starve to death. As the palm oil plantations expand they remove everything so they can plant the trees as efficiently as possible. For the orangutans that live through the clearing work they are left with absolutely nothing to eat.
The mothers try to get to the forest but that’s extremely difficult with all the downed trees and mud from the clearing. They feed the babies for 3-5 days then they die. The babies can carry on for another day or two.

Those people are so dang loud. He is scared. I dont know why with all these rescues, there is always a bunch of LOUD people laughing and talking and freaking these poor babes out. Why dont the rescuers tell these owners to get all the loud people out of the vacinity, so the transition can be done in peace?

I do just looking at them! If I had one in my arms, it would have to be pried out to take it away. Understand their moms' reluctance to ever let go of them. Most understandable! Those poor mamas that have their baby's stolen from them. Very sad.

Yes, it is about time these frauds at least make a minimal effort to show they care about these animals before they sell them as pets. Don't forget that the family they re-stole this animal from had no masks, no gloves and one of them was smoking in close proximity to the animal. So the "great care" you mention is essentially garbage with all of those germ bags around the animal.

Look at all those kids! If they are living in such poverty, why are they bringing so many into a life of poverty? There wouldn't be such a need to bring money in thru the explotation of animals if they'd quit having so many mouths to feed.
Very good point. The number one problem in the world is third worlders breeding like rabbits. Traditionally they would have a lot of kids and quite a few would die along the way but then bleeding heart westerners started giving them foreign aid and charity and they continued having loads of kids. This is one of the primary causes of environmental destruction.

No one rescued it. These are all poachers making a fraudulent video to make it seem like they rescued an animal. The animal is most likely dead or living as a pet in the Middle East. It is a shame but that is what the criminal creator of this video does for a living.

They claim to be "government workers" and they name drop other organizations but they are not qualified to rescue or care for these animals.

Exactly. Just try asking the creator of this video any questions about his credentials and you will see that he is just a poacher. He is evasive, rude, sexist, racist and dishonest. There is just too much money involved and no consequences and it is a shame that so many people actually believe that this is a legitimate rescue organization.
These people are dangerous, and rescuers try to do their job as good as possible. They can't get there and take the baby, because next time nobody will speak, and they need to know. Even though sometimes they have to go with soldiers to avoid being attacked.
