King of the hill is one of the best tv shows I've ever seen. It doesn't feel like it has some underlying political narrative it's just wholesome family friendly humor.
I love King of the Hill, but "wholesome" and "family friendly" are not very accurate. It was deliberately pushing boundaries for network television animation, and was a forerunner of shows like Family Guy and Home Movies.
Judge went on to make a more wholesome, more deliberately political -- and liberal! -- show called The Goode Family.

Mike Judge wrote and directed Office Space, not to be confused with NBC's The Office, which was adapted from Ricky Gervais' show by Greg Daniels.
For all you non smokers out there; there's 20 cigarettes in 1 pack. So, if Dale smoked at a rate of two packs a day, he'd have to have smoked for almost 68 years to smoke that much, or 3 packs a day for 45 years.

I always forget about the general genius and smart comedically wholesome greatness of KotH. It really stands alone, separate from all the other primetime animated series (The Simpsons, Family Guy, Bobs Burgers, Futurama, South Park, ect.). only after rewatching the show after a few years of living. I still love King of the hill it's definitely a gem of a show. One key bit I love about it is that there is a message behind each episode, a lesson to be learned and you do see bits of character progression. My favorite was when Nancy decided to be faithful to Dale, and then the episode where Dale basically gets hit on by pretty much a female variation of himself how he's tried and true faithful to Nancy. It's SO SO SO Sweet! I was awwing so much in that moment when they cuddled after that ordeal

Bob's Burgers is a close second though. KOTH will always be my favorite animated sitcom though.

My absolute favorite scene from the show will forever be the one where Peggy attempts to give her defense in court in Spanish. Too long to post here, but it's brilliant.
