    Hi there can you tell me if there's a difference in using acrylic paint please :) and thanks

    • @TamsCreativeCorner
      @TamsCreativeCorner  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! I started with acrylic and the difference I found is that they react more in the resin for example causing it to thicken and cure much faster. The colors are more opaque and they don’t create those interesting effects you get with mica and resin pigments. Hope this helps. If you do use acrylics try to use the more liquid flow type 😉

    Did you prep the wood anyway before the resin? Or did you use it as is?

    • @TamsCreativeCorner
      @TamsCreativeCorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe on this one I put wood sealer under the part I applied resin.

    Beautiful!! I tried to make one, but it kept getting bubbles, no matter how much i torched it. Did you have to put a seal on the board before the resin?

    • @TamsCreativeCorner
      @TamsCreativeCorner  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! It depends on the type of wood used but yes I have and it sounds like your board was too porous so put a bit of wood sealer on it next time. Also. You can sand and repour the one you did too. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

    Beautiful! I'm curious if the glitter is food safe or poses problems of any kind?

    • @TamsCreativeCorner
      @TamsCreativeCorner  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s a great question. Some glitters are non toxic and most of mine are coated with resin that is food safe. Thanks for watching!

    How do we prepare the wooden board before resin.

    • @TamsCreativeCorner
      @TamsCreativeCorner  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sunita Mathur it depends on the wood used. But sometimes I will put a polycrylic wood sealer on the part I resin

      Thanks for getting back. I’ve been making these and I have to sand the bottom because taping off doesn’t seem to work 100%. How do you deal with finishing details?

    • @TamsCreativeCorner
      @TamsCreativeCorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Milagrokuolt yes, sometimes the tape doesn’t do it and I’ll have to sand a little. One of the things I despise lol. Then I oil my boards!
