    My expectations aren't that high. As long as the car is safe, has awesome gas mileage, and has great space inside, I am sold.

      chop1234ification oh thanks dude. this car is one of my favorite cars in midsize segment. I really like compact cars too like the hyundai elantra and chevy cruz because they are the best on gas mileage, are safe too if I am not mistaken, and compact cars maintenance such as tires, oil, and such are really low in expenses.

    I Have a 2013 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL fully loaded Pearl White with cream leather interior.. It has about 117k miles & have owned the car for over two years now; and I have had ZERO problems with the car, it is such a comfy ride and very enjoyable.. the interior feels super premium very nice leather throughout, I love the look of this body style, the Bose sound system is incredible and overall it is a pleasure, I definitely recommend🤘🏻

      I have the exact same car (year, trim, color) with just under 100k miles. I have had it for three years now. Unfortunately, I'm currently having transmission issues. I'm planning on getting it repaired. Despite its current state, I really love my car.

    My wife and I bought a 2008 2.5 S and have put 155k miles on it and we love it. It is a bit "plain" especially the interior but we wanted a reliable car and thats exactly what we got. Never had a single problem and it still runs, drives and looks great. The CVT is fine with me and the 2.5 is great, thats why I don't want a Maxima since it only offers the V6. Very happy Altima owner here and about to buy a 2015.

      @@NoName-gv6nm My 2018 Altima has not quite 33k but hasn't been problematic, either. I'm just concerned that one day the CVT will fail. Presently, I'm working to pay down the note as low as possible so I can trade in for a lightly used '19 or '20 Avalon.

    You forgot to mention lane assist, blind spot detection, and as for the back up camera, if you click it again it shows when you turn the steering wheel! Also, when you put air in the tire, it notifies you when to stop. In my personal opinion, i feel like this is a great car for someone’s first vehicle. Especially now that it’s 2019 and the price has decreased

    I want everyone to know that my CVT failed today it was a 2014. My sister's CVT also failed 6 months ago and she had the 2010. If your CVT begins to whine it's on it's way out. Changing the fluid is just buying you some time. 3-6 months, but just know if it whines that's your CVT letting you know it has Aids. No cure.

    Decent car as I bought the 2014 SL model, which hasn't changed from the 2013 model.
    Some issues:
    1. Instrument panel doesn't have the digital odometer that other car makers have in their cars! It just shows the digital car model which is essentially worthless without the tech package [which is an optional package].
    2. Bose display stereo is Not a Touch Screen display model which other car makers have in their cars!
    3. Backup camera image is Not that good.. very grainy and not sharp!
    4. Rides stiffly [unlike VW which rides smoothly].
    5. Loud esp. engine [due to CVT] and road noise; sound insulation Sucks considering the price! Toyota/VW has better NVH/noise insulation! Nissan still has NOT improved the noise insulation!
    6. Why is rear mid headrest still built in instead of adjustable/removable?
    7. Sporty driving feeling is lacking!
    8. CVT needs manual dual shift setting but engine is Not built for that :(
    9. There's still much windshield reflection on sunny days which still has NOT been fixed from 2005!
    It's relatively better and luxurious than my old 2005 Altima S.

    I have a 2008 SL and truthfully, I found the steering and acceleration on the 2013 to be a let down. Acceleration did not feel as responsive, but in a car tuned to get MPG's, I can understand. The steering was another story... Just awful! It felt inconsistent -- stiff one minute, light the next -- plus the car felt like it was floating down the highway, I had to actually work to keep it straight. I love this design and the quality of the cabin is fabulous, but the drive was a major disappointment for a perennial Nissan customer like me.

    This car's interior is rather bland and technology is nothing to write home about.
    Also, if you read reviews, 2013 model has so many problems, including CVT engine noise, steering wheel needs constant adjust driving in high speed, passenger airbag issues (which Nissan has recalled), in-car technology issues, so on... Just read reviews and don't get 2013 model. I'm not sure if 2014 model fixed all those issues but I know at least initial 2013 model batch had those problems

    • @theredline
      @theredline  10 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      First model year problems occur in almost any car. There's a good chance Nissan has the issues fixed with the 2014 model, the 2015 Altima just went on sale today too.

      Im just saying... Since u gave really good review for 2013 altima model, u should know that there are lots of reliability issues only discoverable when u drive car for sometime

    • @aidensnow5017
      @aidensnow5017 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      the intirior being bland is subjetive, just like some people wont like something more simole some people hate thing that are to bussy like the intiriors of the older sonata. Reliability issues will pop up with ANY car if you google and look for them even the camry and accord, thease are mass produced cars, not sculpted works of art for every car and nissan has iorned out alot of issues they had in the 2014+ model years, remember the 2013's where a brand new model year with a all new power train, there will be hickups. and the engine drone well... thats just part of haveing a CVT, its just a trade off of haveing better fule economy with out tradeing power, anf before you bring up dule cluch transportations those have 1000× more issues then the altima ever will just for the simple fact they are a new technology and have been rushed onto market in the past few years andwhile they work and feel geat a first they cant all hold up well to year and years of use and wear and tear, thats just something that gets polished out after years of tweaks and reserch.

    I like the style of the inside. I like the baby maxima look to it. But I hate CVTs. I just don't like CVTs. I give ones liie that a chance. Bc of the fact that they actually tried to make it Less CVT like. But I don't think I'll ever be cool with CVTs. Its a turn off when I hear CVT lol. I be like Eeewwww. 6 speed please! ?
