Smoking on the hill at school before class and after school hanging out at someone's house before their parents got home. My friends kept me supplied. Kentucky skunk is all we use to find around here but it was always potent. I didn't know grass had any other smell until the early 2000's. I miss it, it was as potent as anything we come across today. The only fault with it was the ridiculously powerful smell. It would get you busted.

Awesome episode legendary stuff but really upset me when tommy legit said he didnt gaf about small ma and pas and big business is the way 😅 not that theres some point in big ag having benefits as well but i saw that stress rip after that and man that changed things a bit but always will respect the legend ive looked up to him my whole life that just felt personally attacking us small growers, we know your stuff holds it up i wanna try that nug you grew bro and the small growers with passion deserve more recognition for their dedication but it guess i can find the humor in even that its just nit what i expected was kinda rude for him to demand us to listen more then tell us were basically worthless really hit me otherwise great episode and i loved how he talked about all the history of his past and how weed helps tap in to that creative side its so true its the gateway to creativity for sure and how it helps you really focus on certain things sometimes such a cool episode and what an honor to be able to interview someone as legendary as tommy chong keep it up nice job keeping the conversation going looking forward to the next episodes!

Tommy Chong you have been entertaining me since 1973 that's when I heard my first Cheech and Chong album I was 13 the fall of 1973 was the first time I ever smoked cannabis and 1975 was when I grew my first plant cannabis plants-guerrilla-style out in the woods with a friend of mine years ago then I remember discovering High Times magazine and then Cheech and Chong in the movies came out. So Tommy Chong you have been entertaining me from my infancy of cannabis until my senior life here we are today and you're still entertaining me! I'm with Tommy Chong everyone acting like they can taste a distinctive flavor is mostly marketing. I can smell sweet but that's about it. People change with times not bad nor good. I wish we could filter out some of these things. I shoot long range matches 1 great shooter said he could see the trace of the bullet all the time so now everyone acts like they see trace. Now great shooters came out and debunk seeing trace all the time, so new competitors dont have this lie they continue to chase. We nead some influencesers to step up and end the bogus fibs in the cannabis industry.
Totally agree with you. A lot is marketing and fluff, but I most certainly won’t deny that there are some inovaters and true terps that will definitely hit new unseen aromas that mimic real life foods, fruits and flavours

I’ve had “cat piss” “dog shit” “cheetah piss” and the original “skunk” that my dad grew over the years. He still has a beautiful house and made a living from having the highest quality stuff anywhere around my town and he’d come home from harvesting at the grow location and the entire house would stink like sweet skunk and to this day I love the smell of skunk and nobody ever understands why. But I’ve been strain/pheno hunting for that same smell for years and I just can’t find it. Even the high from that stuff was the best quality of anything I’ve ever smoked and this was probably 10-15 years ago and he kept it as long as he could but eventually the strain died out. But everyone of my old friends still to this day talk about how there’s nothing like it and I just wish I could’ve shared it with more people because without experiencing it for yourself people will just think “eh sure whatever it was prolly just good weed” but I swear it was the best weed I’ve smoked or smelled to this day. And it’s not even like it was the first I ever smoked so it’s not just nostalgia from having no tolerance and it being my first high especially because it’s the same for so many people it can’t be a coincidence. But that being the case I’m really bummed that we’ve muddled the gene pool so much and mixed the super amazing strains with the not so good quality but good yielders or whatever, so now so much of it is almost exactly the same just slight variations. It’s really sad and I just hope one day I’ll be able to find it again. I wish I could do a “skunk hunt” like the lord of the lemons 😂. Great interview once again. I can’t get enough brotha

@@HomeGrowTV what I know so far is that it is in very small amounts in cannabis, but with the same effects, but only 0.2% of THC. which is below the European legal limit of THC to sell(grey area). Not that sure yet, but I will find out.
