Ive run 1 of these when I was in college i gotta a the g870 john deere i a absolute beast of a machine,and 1 of the smoothest running excavators ive ever run
There is no rock in that material. It's a very stiff clay. We would have preferred a serrated cutting edge, and did have to switch to a smaller digging bucket in some areas.
@@tomcander3669 We do see companies put digging teeth on buckets down around Calgary. But most of our work involves softer clays or topsoils. Even these larger machines need to be doing the 'cleanup' work in areas where you can't put a dozer to touch it up behind them. In hard soils you are 100% correct.
Hitachi and John Deere made the exact same machine until recently (they just canceled their agreement). The only difference between the machines is the engine.
