Thx for the vid and the disassembly. I succeeded replacing the digitizer doing step by step as You have shown.
Failed for the 1st time due to too much pushing when connecting the digitizer's strip connector (this curvy 1) to the board, 2nd time was a success.
1 thing I've done differently was not bending the strip while pushing it through the hole in the mainboard (see reassembly).
I tried doing this without removing the battery. In the end I had to pull the battery iut to hook up the lcd connection. Thanks so much for making this video, it helped tremendously.
this comment saved me from buying a new phone. just putting the motherboard back on does not connect the screen, pulling out the battery and manually pushing together the connect at the bottom back of the motherboard worked out. thank you! and thanks How2Tech for the great video.

Ok so great video btw but i followed it step by step and as precisely as possible and my phone vibration is working and i can see the small light at the top and it even charges but the screen doesn't show whats going on so i cant see my display what should i do?
Is this adhesive tape will be ok? It's enough to hold digitizer?

So I put everything back together but now the phone is screen does not light up. The digitizer seems to be working as "pressing buttons" makes the phone go. Any suggestions? Great work BTW.
James Lewis The only suggestion is to double check the display connection make sure it is tight.
+How2Tech What is the display connection? I am having the same problem but it also seems like the part that hooks up under the batter does not want to stay connected?

Hi, I cracked my screen and the touchscreen is not responding to my actions. The buttons still work and the display is also working. What must I buy? Great video by the way...
You need the glass only, In this phone the lcd is separate form the glass so you can buy it separately.
So I just finished putting the phone back together. It seems as though everything is working but the screen isn't very responsive (i.e. I press on it but it doesn't always respond). Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi, I followed all of the instructions as shown, but when I put the phone back together, the screen doesn't light. When I press the on button, the phone vibrates but the screen doesn't light. Any ideas?
did you forget to plug the lcd back in at the bottom left?
I followed your video and installed the new screen but it is lagging to respond when I touch it what could be the problem?
I have the same problem, I opened it up again to see what it was, as soon as I touched it the ribbon cable broke off. This confirmed to e that it was just a shit digitiser, I'm getting a new one now.

Hi i need your help urgently, notice the black strip outlining the lcd screen? If i remove it does it affect the digitzer? i remove it when taking out the old digitizer as i thought it was just an adhesive. But when i replace with my digitizer, the digitizer dont work. And no i dont mean the black adhesive on the frame, the black strip is on the lcd sceeen. Can anyone help pls?
If the black strip does affect i will need to get the whole assembly, if it doesnt affect i will just get the digitizer. Please any kind soul let me know!

I took the black covering off the battery. I hope that was not a radiation shield.

***** For me this is the case. Touch works perfectly but the speakers no longer work. No ringtone, etc.
Edit: Never mind. The loudspeakers seems to have broken off. I'm not surprised since this is my first ever phone repair. What's a few quid? Heh. At least the touch screen is working again! Thanks!

+H4NYcze Oh man thats rough. If the internals are all ok then sure you will probably need glass, case, LCD?
I will buy this www.ebay.com/itm/111623620080 and internals are ok, i think :D Maybe the motherboard is slightly bent but not chips.
