  • In this episode of Restoring Uncle Charlies Cabin, we take both Kubota’s (Kubota L and Kubota MX) out to clear some bush (Wicked EA Grapple) on the first nice weekend in a month. Except it’s fresh after a storm and while the ground appears dry in some areas… we quickly find out that is not the case as we sink everywhere on property.

I also have an MX (but a 5600) with low hours. Heed my warning, these tractors with Re-Gen need to be run, (every working hour other than warm-up) at / near the recommended RPM (2600). Failure to do so can clog the Re-Gen system. I know BC an Ex employee almost cost me $2,500-$3K from not listening and running it at idle / low rpm (like an old tractor) for over 20+ hours. I had to cycle the Re-Gen 3 times consecutively to stop the audible alarm and luckily found a Kubota service tech to advise me on how to reset the computer myself to clear the related error codes, otherwise I would’ve been screwed. They’re great machines, but that’s a critical detail for these Tier IV / IV Kub engines. I’ll also say that since I have the HST and F&R remotes, the hydraulic system clearly functions at peak performance nearer to that rpm also. ✌️

Yup Ive noticed the 6000 really prefers to be ran hard. The dealer did tell me to run it no lower then 2k when doing normal work with it. So far we've only had 2 regen's since buying it. Normally Im sitting around 2200-2500 depending on using the mower for the rear PTO RPM's.

Contact your credit card company for a charge back. Others have been getting their money back successfully. There’s a Facebook group called “what happened to everything attachments?”

@w8bya Best contact your credit card company. Lots of people online are reporting successful charge backs.

Not sure... there's a ground on FB dedicated to "what happened to EA" lol. Been finding some info there, as well as lawsuit docs posted up online too.
Maybe we'll do some digging and post an update to see what comparable companies may be.

Great products but using customers Bs money to pay for customers A order. A backwards payment snowball effect. Is what I read at least.

really sucks to see this happen. I just picked up a tractor this last week and they seemed to have some really nice stuff, but finding out about this i gotta search for alternatives

@@wes9731 There's a few other good brands out there, perhaps thats something I'll look into and see what may be comparable.
