    A little life pro tip for the hand warmers: they need constant oxygen in order to work, so when you get back from your run put them in a Ziplok and squeeze all the air out. When you open it the next day sometimes they’ll reactivate and you can get a second use out of them :)

    You can use multiple times one-time handwarmer by after run putting them in a small plastic bag (air tight). That 'turns off' the hand warmer. For the next run just take them out of plastic bag and use again. Environmental friendly! Greetings from Finland🇫🇮 (country of polar bears). 😁

    If the nylon watch band is too long you can just trim it. I have super narrow wrists and always do this. I also seal the cut end by passing it next to the flame on my gas stove. That melts the end so it doesn't fray.

    Interesting tip on the alligator clip. I actually think I might try one for running. I know that gives up the ability to extend with a stick, but I like how compact it becomes while still allowing you to quickly point at yourself or the scenery. Plus I fear I might hit someone with a selfie stick in a race.

    Really love your channel and am thankful for all the high quality content and information you provide. Having taken up running again seriously after a long hiatus running a business and raising a family, I've learned a lot in a short amount of time and helped me enjoy this most rewarding of hobbies. And, overall, it's a very affordable hobby - even with my ever-growing collection of running shoes! Haha.
    My previous hobbies were being an audiophile nerd and electric guitar/amp collecting and playing and those were endless large money pits for no other reason than to hear minuscule amounts of sonic "improvements" and I finally decided enough is enough. I still love listening to music with great sound quality and playing the guitar, but running is my "addiction" now. Unlike on the guitar, I can measure myself getting better and better with each mile! Thanks again!

    I've never seen someone wear their watch so high on their arm. The edge of my watch sits just higher than the bone. I have used the Garmin titanium band for four years and it's been perfect for me. The watch goes in the right place and doesn't move and I can wear it all the time. It gets cleaned in the shower so I don't have the rash issues that some people get with silicone bands. I have been interested in the hook and loop nylon bands as they do breathe so that you can wear them all the time. On winter running: I got a spin bike in 2020 and I have two indoor tracks that I can use when the weather gets really bad.

    • @kofuzi
      @kofuzi  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      if I wear a watch near the wrist bone, the tracing looks somewhat decent for about 20 minutes. and then it's pegged near 180 for the rest of the time.

    Thanks for sharing your can’t live without list. I just started watching your channel as I was preparing to run my first Chicago Marathon, and I’m now hooked on the Chicago races, so looking forward to next year’s Shamrock Shuffle, Half, and Full marathon in 2024. Question, I noticed the end of the video shows you using a 360 camera. How often do you switch it up and use the 360 camera? Do you bring both on runs? How do you make the decision to switch up the cameras?

    • @kofuzi
      @kofuzi  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      except for an exceptional destination trail run, I only bring one camera. depending on what footage I need or what I might encounter, this will dictate what camera I bring.
      just like I have different shoes have different strengths, different cameras have different strengths.

    Happy Black Friday! I’ve been watching your videos back when you had 10k subs. Your videos got me into “running”.
    I film with an iPhone 7, but need to upgrade phone soon and I know you’re a GoPro user. Questions - any experience/opinion filming phone vs GoPro? And and opinion on BF deals if I were to purchase a GoPro - 11 ($400) v 8 ($229) on BH Photo - best value specifically for sporadic running (or in my case, walking) videos. Features I’m looking for - stabilization and low light. I know 11 would be better, but I’m interested in terms of value for your money.

    • @kofuzi
      @kofuzi  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the key difference between gopro and phone is the ability to put the camera on a stick and get those different angles. i think phones do incredible jobs these days, but I would never want to put one on a stick and run.
      between the 8 and 11, I think it would really come down to resolution and frame rates. the 11 gets you 4k at 120fps. if you don't need that high of a resolution or that high of a frame rate, the 8 might be the right buy for you. stabilization is a lot better on the 11 though. and neither are particularly good at low light.

    Hmm why not use heated gloves ? ;) Thats what we use for skiing. This being said, I'm surprised you need extra heat, I live in Quebec and during winter, I find it harder than most people to stay warm but I never use my heated gloves when running since i generate from running, maybe you need to run harder ? :p There are heated socks too but I'm not sure I would use that for running, it's not especially comfy with metal elements needed for heating.
