    Way to go, Barbara, being in the first bubble. And 2000 miles! I also agree, beautiful footage, editing, and always appreciate your being interested in helping us experience and learn. Love your music integrated into the video

    Hej Barbara, wonderful mountains, lakes, etc..... really enjoy your videos. Can understand your heart over flowing with pleasure at such beautiful nature. My feelings exactly when I was lying in the snow on Suotujärvi looking at the northern lights. Good wishes for your toe - happy hiking ! 🙋‍♀️ Sandy

    I grew up on the NE corner of Yellowstone. If you hike in the late evening make lots of noise, let them know you are there. 2 ropes make it way easier to hang your food. Your really making the miles. The rest of the trip is ,in my opinion, the best part of the CDT. I hope you enjoy it, stay safe and Thank You for the wonderful video.

      You are right about the rope... But all is weight 🤪

    • @bigsky2081
      @bigsky2081 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@barbarawillen_simplelife the 2.5 in yellow braided poly rope is half the weight of para cord and doesn't absorb water. But you are almost done anyway. Your really moving. Stay safe.🙂

    Hello Barbara! So happy to hear from you. You are close behind another fast hiker, Walking Tapeworm, so I know you’re traveling fast. Please get bear bells! All the sobos have encountered numerous bears, and because you’re mostly solo, the bells would help. And you won’t have to talk to yourself so much! 😄 Thanks for showing us how to hang a bear bag, and thanks for another beautiful video. You’re such an inspiration! I hope your blisters healed. It is interesting that you’re already having thoughts of finishing your hike soon.

    Welcome to my state Idaho ❤really look forward to seeing your videos! M&M potatoes and bacon, I might have to try that😁my favorite is to add cheetos. I pray you can see a bear in the long distance and he stays that way! I also think the bear bells are wise.

    I love that you hiked a bit with Eternal and Walking Tapeworm at 15:15 creek/river crossing! Also, I see at 23:37 YTuber On The Trail With Bart (trail name?) and definitely his hiking partner!

    Yellowstone, a most magnificent National Park... looking forward to your thoughts on the park, with the exception of the masses of people who are there, you should find it most interesting. Hot springs, geysers, pit toilets' and of course lots of four legged critters along with the two legged ones. Bummer on the open blister, Ouch. Wyoming / Idaho Border, Canada is getting closer and closer... Guessing you have at least 1097 miles to go, so you will finish sometime during the week of 13 Sept. SAFE HIKING

    I don't know enough about the CDT alternates in that area to guess which one you chose, but I would imagine that it was one in which there was beauty, physical challenge, and the least amount of road walking. :) Thanks for the great bear tips. I live and hike in bear country (no grizzlies) so I learned good info from this video. The cinematography and music was outstanding, as always - thanks!!

    I really like this regular Sunday viewing but it is sometimes difficult to wait so long so I go back back and review a favorite. Anyway, I guess that the rain is good for the fires but I hope that you get a little stretch of great weather along the way. Hike on Barbara, and thank you so much for taking us on your adventure.

    Wie immer schönes Video, ich habe das Buch Hiking with Bears von Ron Haggett gelesen bevor ich in Montana wandern ging. Ich konnte die blubbernden Mudholes im Film förmlich riechen. Und wenn du ncht so unglaublich schnell gehst, dauerts auch ein wenig länger……😊. Machs guet

    My guess: because of your mixed feelings, and the red line being longer, that'll be the route you take.
