Just watched zack have a breakdown on this thing and he’s ready to burn it to the ground mainly the anhydrous system
They can change the parts but without testing all your doing is showing off shiny stuff
Yeah it was tough to see him have those challenges and we feel for all our farmers who have to deal with them. Those wet cold soils create challenges for rigs like this. There are a few more tweaks that can be done to minimize the issues. Stay tuned to see if he has the appetite to try one more season. This strip-till technology has big wins - just got to get past the inherent issues and time constraints. Thanks for watching guys!
I remember this was in the spring actually
When I was only 11 on the farm, the biggest leap in technology was the "torque amplifier" on the IH 706. It was the first hydrostatic drive system I had ever seen. Seeing this electronic tech being used for precision fertilizer application is really cool stuff. Zach did seem to have a little learning curve with it the other day, though. I'm glad he only had to make a call to get it straightened out.
pretty sure on his last video that it is for sale now. at least that's what he said, because of his soil there where he farms at.
@@bigjim5723 I think there is a way to overcome that, both at the soil level and the humidity of the dry product.

So this machine was not built for fertilizer application from factory?
Actually.... That is valid. Primarily designed for seed and fertilizer - the JD air cart excels when used with an air seeder. There are other rigs out there that are better suited for fertilizer only use.
