The only thing wrong is that for a BMW driver used to the idrive wheel, this to me is a big disappointment. I understand that the new voice activation software includes many more features including climate control and the infotainment system but when you're used to it....
Bmw really nailed this Suv! But i don't like the idea of equipping a non full M vehicle with quad exhaust pipes, i don't know why they do that, i feel quad pipes should be reserved for the real deal. Secondly i don't like that there's no comfort acces for the rear doors, it's a pain to have to use the key to open the doors or to open the front door first just so you can unlock the back doors, c'mon Bmw!🤦♂️
Every newer BMW gets a little bit cheaper. Why take comfort access out? Why get rid of I drive controller? All cost saving even though tare more profitable than ever before. Shame on BMW
So whaddaya get beyond the regular X1 for an additional $10-$15K?? Answer: about a sec faster, quad tail pipes, and a stiffer , bumpier ride. Still lags and lurches from a stop. Compared to regular X1 optioned up to match, $15K more than regular X1 for bumpier ride, no spare, poorer mileage, seats with fixed headrests. In short, $15K for a bit faster canyon carving on rare occasions in exchange for poorer every day drive.
The zoom in part is less than 60 sec. There are plenty of interior shots, from what I recall Here is another video th-cam.com/video/bo5Fj3WGFX8/w-d-xo.html
@@bmwblog I know. It's a great littles SUV. All I'm saying is for "classic BMW" it's wrong wheel drive. I have two Audi's so I'm not one to talk, although both of mine are rear bias platform Audi's (none of the transverse engine FWD layout like many Audi's and this X1). Great video though!! 😊
This is an amazing vehicle by BMW. Excellent value proposition considering the new X1 is almost the same size as the current X3 and loaded up its much less expensive. Plus you have a much nicer interior and an amazing infotainment. system.
Comprehensive Tips & tricks video incoming??
is this the stock exhaust?
No drive review coming? Thank you👍
Where is it, Canada?
Yes, Ontario
what's that color? Brooklyn Gray?
Yes
Space Silver 👍
Ah right. so close though
Camera is too zoomed in in the interior part
A tiny bit, we had to stabilize and it cropped too much
So you can’t open the back doors???
Of course you can, just no comfort access
@@bmwblog what is the difference??
You need to unlock all doors before you can open it. Comfort Access will let you unlock by simply pulling the handle
@@bmwblog what a shame, they switch out the little details every time. Is this available in a fully kitted out one with all the packages on tho?
Idrive OS9 instead of 8.5 😉
Ahhh yes :) Of course

Agreed. The iDrive was useful. And highly functional

Yes, the quad pipes thing is odd
So my Z4 V6 gets trapezoids but this thing gets quads…. Ummmm… OK.

Shame on BMW
I think it's there. Just not for rear doors
@@bmwblog the car has gone up in price. Why take it out if the last gen had it? It is like giving their customers the middle finger.

It's not for everyone, that's for sure. I don't expect the M35i to be the top seller X1.
I agree with you. I'm going to get a M sport with more options for a lot less money this coming summer.
You write the same comment all over every video. Why you so mad?
This guy posts the same comment on every X1 M35 review. Where did BMW touch you?
@@johnsambo9379 who are you talking about?
I was hoping to see the interior but all I got was max zoom on the dash screen and a small portion of one seat. What a terrible video.

What did the iDrive controller do to get dismissed? 🫨
No one knows. But likely cost
Exhaust sounds lame in any mode.
Haha! The soft limiter is here to stay, my friend. Personally I'm okay with it.
It's still a four cylinder.
You sound out of breath
A wrong wheel drive BMW.
It has been like this for a long time though
@@bmwblog doesn't make it right. It's a Mini in a BMW costume.
Yes, but they hav been sharing the platform for a while.

Sounds terrible 🤢
BMW has failed again. This is just a copy of the X3 design, only slightly smaller in all aspects to include the engine and the brakes.
Some elements are from the X3, but that's expected. They are using some cues across multiple models

I own this car. Love it. 36 MPG HWY and still had 250 HP. San Remo green color is the best. BMW did not fail me.
