I put about 5grams into the handle of my 100D and use an overgrip with Hyper-G soft 1.15 at 50lbs. I play at lot of doubles at an intermediate level so need a bit more help with power at times. Add to this the Percept 100D absolutely knives volleys at the net
I am now using confidential full bed 53lbs, i had tour bite soft on tbe mains at first but string bed is way too soft and felt muted. I also added total of 5-6 grams to 3.5-9.5 and 12. Now I get the punch I like for my winners. Didn't have enough plough before, definitely benifits from head heavier balance. Unfortunately not enough control for advanced players, should have slightly thinner beam. Much better racket for intermediate players can develop shots with this racket rather than trying to tweak what's already good.
Thanks for sharing your view. Have you tried tour bite ? Confidential is nice but tour bite might offer more spin. Tour bite soft has less „magic”. At the moment my setup is more HL with the leather grip i guess its a preference .
Yes I also have tour bite but haven't tried it on this racket, I find tour bite little boardy and not enough feel in full bed. Weight on the handle increase stability but also the power dramatically I think control is what lacking here. I go head light or head heavy depending on the racket as long as its not in between :))
@@sinand881 Ye, Maybe but i cant play with thin strings.. they are a bit unpredictable in the response (launch angle and power). In 18x20 maybe…18x19 i tried razor soft hybrid 125 with 1.20 and razor code 1.20 and it was not for me. In the past i was using 1.20 hyper g in a blade 18x20 it was nice but still…1.25 and 1.30 is my usual direction

A friend of mine demoed the stick and loved it and switched, I tried it out about 2 hrs and liked it as well , the 18x19 string pattern is probably the best along with the iso 305 -18x19 What about the prostaff 97 ? I think it would serve you well 💪🏽💯

@@hobonickel840 well from hybrids obviously i am thinking k-pop since Karue is grinding out the pro tour with it :p so it is ATP level approved. I can confirm it is a spin/control oriented hybrid. Maybe not the softest but performs great. If you want a softer setup then i also enjoyed super toro/enso pro from toroline. Also tecnifibre razor soft 1.25/1.20 hybrid is an interesting option However a bit lively. @@mcmastermouss 100 is more forgiving, softer with more spin. 100 is not anemic, quite similar power level between the 100 and 100D. 100 is still predictable. 100d has better penetration. 100 is better on defense
@@dandan.tennis ok thanks a lot ! Yeah, the 100D sounded too demanding for me. I'd like to move away from my pure drive for something more controlled but still forgiving and versatile. Blade 100 wasn't spin friendly enough, I'll demo the speed Mp alongside the percept 100. Heard both played quite similar.
In terms of feel and control - gravity pro 100 %. In terms of user friendliness - percept 100D (easier to perform well with). Gravity Pro requires strong core to really play efficiently with it. Once you figure it out it could be the best racquet out there but the entry point is I would say crazy high for a regular “weekend” player. Prestige Pro is imo actually easier to play with but Gravity is more fun + with probably bigger potential for competitive play. 100D is just safer but no “magic”. Still trying to figure out the setup that would work best for me but I am getting there with every session!
@@dandan.tennis Thanks for the answer. I'm thinking about changing my 97D for one of the two I mentioned, because I hit my backhand with both hands and I wanted a bigger Sweet spot. I have a flatter beat too. Which would you recommend?
