2008 Hyundai Accent, same situation. If you get under the middle where the hood latch is and look up at the very end of the cable that attaches to the latch, you can see it. If you look between the radiator and the front grill, not the engine side. I got a long thin screwdriver, put it up in there against the latch. It's very tiny to see you only have a half inch opening. And push it towards the dryer side with the screwdriver as I was pulling down on the hood. Popped open. Plus a little help from praying.
As mentioned in other comments, on a 2006 Sonata the cable is much better guarded and even if I could reach it I'm not sure I could unhook the cable housing from the notch that holds it to the latch. It needs to be unhooked for pulling the go housing to do any good
IF the cable isn't broken, get someone to hold the lever. Then pull the bonnet up, it should pop. Then open with lever underneath. This was on a different Hyundai i30 model
Not an excellent video you know and I know that the cable does not run in front of the radiator you have to take a coat hanger and go way up by the hood latch there's literally like a 2-in cable that is showing I don't understand why you have that cable running in front of your radiator because it is not like that at all it's like you put that there just to make it look easy and it's not I try for 2 hours last night in an emergency situation it could not get it thought it was going to be easy after watching your video and the cable wasn't there
Tried this with a 2009 Accent. Couldn't find the cable at all. If you're looking through the grill, you'll see a cable that looks like it's in the right place, but that's the hood sensor cable, and tugging on that won't do you any good. There's probably a way to trigger the release from under the car, but I couldn't get any of these outside solutions to work.
@@koulatta9693 Our problem was that the cable was fine, but the plastic lever inside the car had broken off. We were able to use pliers to pull the release the latch (and then jumpstart the car and drop it off at a mechanic), but none of the solutions like this video worked for us.
Very short amount of cable was visible. However, after following directions the cable became detached from the latch. So now im in a worse off position.
used your Chanel to help with past issues on vehicles but this video is useless and was created for views basically click bate when you look threw the grill there is no visible cable there is a plastic covers so this video is no help to anyone having a issue with disconnected cable in the hood

I've owned my Tuscan for 12yrs and the hood is now stuck. Hopefully one of these year issues you showed are the solution. Thanks for the great video.
I really think you a lot man it works with my sonata car you are the best ❤
How do you remove the plastic piece without breaking it?
Easy - worked like a charm - u guys rock!!!
Thanks, i will check it out tomorrow.

Agreed. The cable is nowhere in sight. I had to get under the car and use a long hook, but pulling that cable still did nothing.
@@wheretoplaygames I'm in that boat now too, what did you do?
Same this is bullshit now I’m out here sweating under the car and still can’t find the cable
Your a "I Dee 10 Tea" he shows it to you in the video and it worked just like he said on my 07 sonata
Yeah great video. But you didn’t actually show us how to take that cover off.

I have the same car. Did you end up resolving this yourself?

Had a car fire this worked from inside the car, had to pull about 5 inches of cable before it opened
I have some problem but am not seing this cable to pul up i have huyndai sonata 2006

Not sure what models this works on, but can confirm that it does NOT work on the 2016 Santa Fe. There is no cable in front of the radiator.
Thank you!!!!!!!!!
Having this shitty problem in a elantra 2011
A Hyundai accent.. no pun no pun

Yeah, my cable is in a plastic sheath so I can’t pull on it at all
What u said does not work u r showing a different Hyundai then what I have
Such a stupid design. Never had a problem on any car I've owned over 45 years until I owned a KIA (same as Hyundai).
This guy is the worst at explaining things... "DIS WONE RITE DEEEER" Jesus Christ.....
