My curve worsened even when going through treatment. I have my surgery in 2-3 months and I am so nervous, but I am excited to have a straight spine. It’s really comforting to see other people going through the same thing! Thank you so much!!! ❤

how are you now?
i have to have surgery in june, i’m so freaked out. honestly i just don’t want to be a lifeless blob. i hope i’ll still get to start school normally in the fall. your video was so awesome and definitely made me calm down. thank you xx
you will totally be able to go to school in the fall!! im also getting surgery in june. youll do great!!

How did u do? My curve is 53 degrees and I'm looking into surgery. I have shrunk over 2 inches because of it. Hope it went well for u. I'm nervous too!
My son just had t2-L3 fused 2 weeks ago and he is recovering so fast. What a difference!
this was so helpful! im 2 weeks post op and had a very similar curve to you however I find it very hard to sit and stand 😩
It was the same for me, but I promise it gets better and sitting and walking gets so much easier and normal.
I had 25° but it got up to 45° in about a year so im going on surgery in like a month, im kinda scared but also excided that im gonna be finally all good

Can I also ask you: Do you feel restricted or different in any way now, compared to your way of moving before surgery? How is sleeping after the surgery?

sleeping after surgery is pretty much the same after a month and i dont feel that restricted except that i cant bend over

I’m 1 month post op and I have a higher shoulder too, it’s so annoying 😩
I had the operation a year and a half ago, and my muscles were weak after the operation, and I couldn't exercise. What should I do?
make sure to stay active but don’t do too much. i recommend you talk to your doctor and ask since i’m not too sure.

My degree is 50 last month its 48 it went up my parents are fighting bcs they don't have enough money to pay for the surgery so for now they told me you need to exercise cause that's the only thing you can do right now. I wish we have money to pay for my surgery ( im 12 yrs old and the doctor said im to young for surgery plus the doctor suggest that i should go swimming but we didn't have money it's so sad because every night my parents are fighting bcs of money)
I’m so sorry this is happening to you I know what it’s like (my insurance company backed out of paying for my surgery five days beforehand) but I really hope things will work out for you and for now exercise a lot! There are tons of scoliosis exercises you can do from TH-cam and other things but also talk to your doctor about it. I hope things start looking up for you and good luck 💗
I’m close to my surgery and used to be more worried about the IVs, but now I’m more concerned abt the catheter. Did they give u one? Did it hurt?
I also use Bio Oil on 3 scars that I had on my leg after major surgery

don’t worry too much about it! it’s not worth wasting your time stressing, instead think about everything else in your life to take your mind off it. and maybe if you want you could get someone to film you right after you wake up because you’ll probably say some funny things under anaesthetic and you can laugh about it later. hope your surgery goes well xxx

I had my surgery 8 months ago and now when i do a little of effort my back hurts and i can't do any sport :
i have a 90° curve right now.. im so lucky i went to a new doctor since the old one said i had to wait until i was 16. if i listened to her instructions it would have been too late and i would have been wheelchair bound by then! im so glad i got another opinion and my surgery is before summer, we dont have an exact date yet but im really glad. i mean hey i get to grow 10-15cm 😂😂

Hi. I'm from Thailand I have 90° curve too but it's almost 100° and I did get taller after surgery only 7 cm😅

@user-jq2uk7fw4u Hey did your curve got fully correct after surgery? Mine is also 100° and doctors says it can only reduce to 40 50° and there are high chances of getting paralyzed..Please share your experience

Weird question but i’m honestly curious, did you get taller after surgery? if so, what was your degree before and after? xx
I did get taller after surgery but only 6cm. This does depend on the severity of the scoliosis.

i had my surgery 2 weeks ago but my waist didnt change that much, she's kinda curvy on one side but the other is straight. Is that gonna change with time?
it depends but for me it is slowly changing but everyone’s case is different. My surgeon told me they only operated on my main curve and that my lower curve will straighten over time which will even out my hips. This may be your case but if you’re still not too sure just ask your surgeon ❤️

I'm so glad to have helped you in some way. I hope that if you choose to have surgery in the future that it goes well. I recommend talking to your primary doctor to consult and talk about if you need surgery or not
Will that cause one leg to be shorter then the other cause ur hip isn’t even cause the curve in the spine, now when u had the surgery done to straighten ur spine did it even ur hips out and to not have any issues no more
personally, my legs were the same length but it does happen to some people. my hips were somewhat evened out but they’re still a little uneven because i still have a lower curve which i was told is going to fix itself x
How is sleep like? Does it feel comfortable to sleep on your back?
yes sleeping is fine, i slept on my back for the first two weeks post op and then i started sleeping on my stomach. For me everything went back to normal after a while though when it comes to sleeping.
I'm about 2 years post op. Im 6'5 now lol but the surgery was so was really easy for me.

i cant bend lift or twist for six months to make sure it heals well but afterwards i can
