Nice repair. I didn't realize how easy it is to remove the upholstery. I just paid $1500 to have the seat airbag wiring fixed on my VX and now see I could have done it myself. Don't forget to disconnect the battery before unplugging the yellow SRS connector or you WILL get the dreaded airbag light which will stay on as a historic fault and need to be cleared with a scan tool

Very handy. Have wanted to give this a crack for months but being a daily, past experience tells me to suck it up and wait until im able to pull it off the road for a week at least.
I want to see the overall condition then buy the appropriate foams and materials. The larger issue is multiple sections of the fabrics seams are starting to tear or loosen up. Id love to give that a crack too, ideally replacing with a darker vinyl material. I know ill bugger it up completely but im too deeply interested in auto upholstery to care.. wish there was a training or class one could do. Not having great luck finding such supplies in of half decent quality which are available direct to public 🤔

What I did is quite basic and easy to do… I’m sure you can do it. Thanks for your comment…👍🏻

What i have done is just swap the passenger side seat base with the drivers side as the are the same and bolt up to the runner.

You are 100% right but then you end up with a dud passenger side. Ideally get a passenger side from another car and put it in the driver’s side… Thanks for your comment and support…👍🏻

No offense at all, thank you for your input. That’s what this is about to teach and learn from each other. I’ll try it your way next time maybe someone has an even easier way again to do it, if we all share our knowledge that would be fantastic…

Mate no offence but your instructional contributions are dissapointingly low.. particularly considering the ability and knowledge which you possess, ready to be shared, and appreciated by many.
No dramas though cheers for the tip
