@@frankr3251yeah I remember rewinding scenes in Conan the destroyer too over and over again and then wondering why such was considered lessor later in life... eventually you'd get to the point where you'd consider getting Batman and Robin or Junior on VHS just to watch a few scenes and enjoy them with friends every so often. Jingle all the way too...😂😅
Never forget, Arnold was already a millionaire when he started acting in the 80’s which gave him an astronomical advantage over anyone starting in Hollywood at the time!!!
@@salvadorromero9712He had bought up a lot of profitable California real estate very early on before prices rose astronomically. He used his money from being the number 1 champion bodybuilder and the world's most famous weight lifter from a very young age. He had already made fairly a lot of $ in that profession especially thanks to fitness endorsement deals and appearing on the cover of fitness magazines and in related videos, commercials, and documentaries. People in that industry and other business folks at the time advised him to get into real estate and he took that side-passion very, very seriously. And any time he had to negotiate on a contract of any kind...he was tough and could drive a hard bargain and he knew how to effectively apply pressure to get what he wanted through confidence and charisma and probably even a little friendly intimidation due to his size and larger than life persona. He really came to the US and Cali very serious about making it rich, the American dream, wining and dining with the Kennedys and just the whole package and he started doing it all big-time from a young age. He made friends with tons of the right people early on... 😊😅 Not unlike Eddie Murphy, Arnold's confidence, charisma, and ability to make friends was off the charts from a fairly young age...such improved every aspect of his life all the time 😊
Actually had some decent sword fights and a nice soundtrack by Ennio Morricone but ultimately without Arnold, this would be a completely forgotten film.
Great one!!!! Red Sonja I liked, it wasn’t as good as the first Conan though. Arnold is a great actor. I especially liked him in True Lies. I would love to see you cover Species 1 or 2! Keep up the good work!
I just this movie on mute & have Anthrax playing in The Background. I use to Think that was Conan but it was just some dude. This movie lied to little kids (lil bros). It Scarred Me, this when I found out, What False Advertising Met.
I was such an Arnold Schwarzenegger fan That I went to see this farce in the movies. And yes it was horrible but it definitely needed Arnold to make it digestible🤔
Red Sonja was good, not great. I don't hate it. The swordfights were exciting. Bad acting by Brigitte Nielsen. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Brigitte Nielsen had good chemistry. It would have been good if Arnie had returned as Conan in the movie.
RS a bloody awful movie with only Arnies scenes improving it. AS was loyal to the director Richard Fleischer whom although a journeyman director had done a number of classics-10 Rillington place , Solent green, compulsion amongst them .That his loyalty outweighed any justifiable questions about quality of RS and Conan 2 prior to it is striking in a industry known for it's lack of respect and support
Looking back at this movie, you could tell it was horribly miscast. The actress playing red Sonja looked nothing like the comic book and really couldn't act,let alone carry a movie, makes you wonder what would have happened if they got someone who could act and kept the movie closer to the source material,it could have been great.
I liked "Red Sonja" when I was a kid. I remember recording it off of tv on ktvu in the late 80s and would rewatch it😆💯
Yeah, I think I saw it when I was 8, and liked it.
Yeah when we were young Arnold was like a superhero where you made the best of whatever he starred in 😅
@@adamgriffith873 yup, commando, predator, terminator haha great films 🎬

I liked this film as a 10 yr old, I also loved American ninja, we will watch absolutely anything when we re young.
I loved this movie as a kid
Me too!
How about now though?

What businesses did he own a part of that had made him that wealthy?

Say “Dino DeLaurentis” again.
With accent!
I enjoyed the movie.
Shocked to know that the movie flopped.
As a ten year old boy, I loved this movie.
Arnold clapped those cheeks.
what a woman brigitte lol
I watched this movie a lot as a kid. I liked it.
I bet Arnold never trusted anyone so much in the industry after that.
Red Sonja was my favourite movie as a kid. I rewatched it 30 years later during covid lockdown. The movie was an absolute piece of shit 🤣
Arnold told everybody “screw their freedom.”
Screw Arnold.

Is it really a failure, if we're talking about the movie decades later?
Financial failure, some ppl like this movie.
@KinoReel-c4f True, but it became a cult classic, and so many people had it on VHS.
