- The UDT was one of the earliest models created by Microtech back in the mid-90s and helped put them on the map for lovers of Tacticool knives. The LIDT has seen a couple of minor tweaks over the years, but this new Gen 3 for 2024 is, in my opinion, the most clear evolution and might be the nicest variant so far.
If you’re looking for any high end knife, either production or full custom and want top tier customer service, shipping and good prices, be sure to hit up eknives.com and a huge thanks to them for sending this knife out for me to borrow for review. I’ve known Clayton for many years and he’s as passionate about knives as we are, so it’s a pleasure to support his business.

In place of the grip tape a carbon fiber inlay would look super classy.
Why dont they take off all that logo stuff off the blade?! Great knife, but way to much billboarding, I’m out!!!
Would also like to see machining on the button. In a side opening auto you have to sacrifice grip to open the knife.
Would love the knife if it weren't for the pocket shredder with the grip tape on the handle scales.
@@jeffreygettinger2134 that’s the beauty, it only LOOKS like grip tape. Its not. It’s a plastic-rubbery material. Not gritty or rough at all.
@JimSkeltonKnives Thanks for letting me know. I'll put that into consideration if I decide to buy the knife. I enjoy watching your videos they are both entertaining and informative.
@@jeffreygettinger2134 happy to help and Thank you very much! I’m glad you’re enjoying them.
I never liked the spring type placement in modern autos. Still feel leaf springs are so much better. Would love to see a maker of Italian autos with modern materials and craftsmanship.

I'd had bet you'd keep this, at least for a while 😛

If you have a burning desire to put 3M Grip tape on gun grips CZ custom black aluminums have an insert with that. Or if you don't care the slightest about aesthetics you can be one of those perverts that use Talon grip tape.
@@Creeper1313 LOL, I’m an animal I guess. I have Talon grips on one pistol. I’m not a fan but hey, they work so 🤷♂️
@@JimSkeltonKnives hey if it works for Hickok45
