I bought mine after I saw your unboxing! I’ve been carrying it exclusively for almost a month now and I love it. I usually carry Sebenza 21 Insingo or a Para2. I’m a big fan of the LUDT3 I would say most of the issues like the clip, traction insert under the clip and the jimping all non issues after carrying. The only issue I have found is a little lock stick. I have a December production date.
I currently own 3 of the previous generation LUDTs. I would’ve had 4 but I gifted one to my cousin as a wedding gift, as hard as that was. Absolutely my favorite knife of all time. With that being said, I do not plan on buying one of these new ones. I much prefer the aesthetics of the older gen. Don’t like the looks of those grippy traction inlays.
I love the titanium back spacer on this knife - Microtech could have saved a good bit of money by using standoffs or aluminum or steel but went the extra mile as they have on almost of their new knives.
Just picked up a gen 2 from a local gun shop. I didn't even know there was a gen 3. They had 2 in stock. The display model had some blade play, but the other was rock solid. I bought it on the spot because i liked it, and then came to do some research on it. Come to find out these are hard to come by, and highly sought after. I know where there is one more lol, although suffering from some blade wiggle...
I like microtech but not a fan of this one. Totally respect your approach to things and the blatant honesty. I appreciate the reviews of course that's why I follow on patreon and Instagram and a member I guess lol
I have had a Gen II for years in a drop point. I think this one is calling to me in a tanto. Will be needing one soon. IMO the best EDC auto knives are the LUDT line.
Leaving a comment 30 seconds into the review because I already know it’s a good knife. I absolutely hate this design aesthetically. That being said, I can’t stop giving these guys the praise they deserve for their performance in 2023 and providing the enthusiast community with knives that are actually aimed at enthusiasts, and at a fair price as well. Nobody is more surprised and pleased by this move more than me. I have a very well documented history of dumping on Microtech and Tony Marfione specifically in the MC comments section, but since they debuted the RAM-LOK, I cant help but give it up to them. Well done, Microtech.
Love mine enough to sell my old red one. The fuller really sold me with the taller blade. Also, my clip on the track tape is indeed a jeans lint magnet.
@@jg8979 Without a spring, the button needs pushed to open and close the blade. Microtech warranty took care of everything and had the knife returned good as new at no cost.
I really wish this was on washers. I can’t get behind a knife being hard use with bearings. Especially down in florida. Once sand gets in it it’s toast until you break it apart and clean it and if you don’t the grit will damage the bearings.
When you like the Velona but want to call people with them "poors", this is the knife for you. Should make a special edition with "Supreme" printed down the blade if there was any room for it.
Dude every time i hear your voice i can't help but think of Tom Hank's side kick in the movie 'The 'burbs' ...you sound exactly like that actor...i get a kick out of hearing you every time.

Microtech has been killing it. They shot up to be my favorite knife manufacturer.
*_I think this is one of the very best carries of all time!_*
I like that text on the blade, it’s something unique that makes microtech knife differ from other brands
Yes to me it’s like the seal of authenticity for a microtech. I think they look generic without it
This knife is honestly gorgeous, I want one!
Thanks for continuing to fight for the consumer.

i love my Socom Bravo MINI in Tanto better. Did you get the MINI yet ?

Great new look for the gen 3. Thanks MC

I have a previous version LUDT and love it. Waiting for them to release the tanto Gen 3!

Well done, Microtech.
Just got my very first Microtech Makora Green Mamba! Think I'd like one of these! Thanks for the video!
Really liking this ludt but that grip tape isn’t my favorite. Wouldn’t be too hard to do a micarta inlay instead.
Oh SHIT! A white G-10 inlay on the red one would be SICK ASF. HOW BOUT the bronze/ tan one? Black?
Could be an aftermarket parts niche!
A stout clip is extremely important when i run parkour thru the office with michael and dwight. 😊
Are they hiring?

We NEED a manual LUDT.
The spring in mine snapped three weeks into owning it. Works perfectly as a manual button lock knife.
@@Mark-Dibblethis is good to hear. Does it have any “detent” from the button or does it fall out?
@@jg8979 Without a spring, the button needs pushed to open and close the blade. Microtech warranty took care of everything and had the knife returned good as new at no cost.
No we don’t.
Is the new LUDT handle any bigger than the last one? I felt the old handle was cramped for an 8” knife.

I like it, I will put it on my list. I might wait to see some new color options. They usually make them in nice shades of green.
Thanks for looking out for the lefties.
I want one of these so bad. It’s out of stock everywhere
Found 1 at everything sharp okc
Previous gen i like more. The screws is the only benefit of this one
Sweet knife! I hope they make a manual of this one day, be it liner lock ala Socom Elite, or button lock, or even Ram-Lok.
I'll grab one of these when they release it in PURPLE
The stop pin and the screw next to the back spacer are different on some models, is this normal?
I’m between the gen III LUDT or the Tactile Maverick 😅
I swap my clips or cut and customize mine.
Hey MC, what does L.U.D.T. Stand for again ?😊
Large Underwater demolition team
I wish someone could tell me if the actual grip area was lengthened any? The gen 2 was a little cramped & gen 3 looks like it is lengthened...?
Is that 14 microtech's you own now?
I have had mine since before the release and it no longer has the grip tape inlays and will soon be getting dlc treatment.
WHOA!
Where can I find those hogue deca scales
Personally not a fan of the "Skate Deck Tape" look, but that's just me.
guys i want this knife but also i like michrotech socom i can't choose pls help me (sorry for my english)
I'm moving to Utah in a month auto stich first knife I'm getting lol I live in CA and have a Benchmade cla great knife can't carry it
I wanted that white CLA. It was gone like lightning

You made me chuckle! " poors" he sez
Thank you
I will be selling a few knives to get this for sure.
Where u sell?

Benchmade would charge probably $380 for a knife like this.
You scared me there. You didn't use the gauntlet. And that's what she said.
If you give it to Jugdish your social distance should be at least 5 ft.😅
ludt vs socom
I thought it was a manual button lock when I fist saw that fuller. I thought man thats awsome. But no , kinda seen like a useless addition stay auto.
To much talking. To expensive

This is pretty slick, but Microtech NEEDS to get all that disgusting branding off the blade. It drops the class and aesthetic of the knife by a lot.
yes, and you’re not the first and definitely not the last to say this. paragraphs of text need to go
It screams angrily at me like an outdated billboard.@@Mosrmosr993
Absolutely agree. Keep the Microtech claw logo on the show side or on the pivot, put the blade steel on the other side, and leave it at that.
You can but pay more for it 😂
A laser etching machine could probably make quick work of it
Tl;dr: typical Microtech
Thanks
