To fight corruption swiftly; the auditor general needs to be given prosecution powers. Meaning the findings of the auditor will be used as evidence in a court of law which will form the basis for prosecution.
The reports will be availed to those mentioned to explain themselves within 30 days and any delays or non responses the auditor goes to court and the defenders can defend themselves in court. In the meantime those mentioned they will step aside. if the reasons they give are not sufficient the auditor proceeds to court.
The cases will take 1 month max. There will be no court injunctions provision. Court injunctions were created by the politcal class, is a tool used to ensure that no case ever gets prosecuted in a court; should be removed from our laws. . This is one of the reasons no big fish is in jail today.
The auditor office will have its own budget in order to be independent as not to be frustarted or influenced by the executive. This offcie will deal with all govt corruption only.
Special courts will also be created to deal with only govt corruption from county to national govt. All cases from investiagtion to prosecution will take only 3months.
