- Adjusting the hydraulic pressure relief valves on a JQ400 mini skid steer
There is very little documented specs on these Chinese machines. 2300-2600psi seems to be the "normal" range that people set their pressures to. I set mine to 2800psi since 3000psi is the norm with brand name equipment. Equipment failure, damage, and or bodily harm may result if pressures are set beyond there maximum ratings. Adjust yours at your own risk.
Thank you!
Does this affect the ability to use multiple functions at once? I know with these one of the complaints is you can’t turn and raise bucket at the same time for example or the third function etc. I know a few models have three pump set up and those are better. Didn’t know if this was a work around or if that’s gonna be flow as opposed to pressure.
Adjusting pressure wont fix that issue. The real cause of not being able to drive and run a function is not enough flow and low cost control valves.
Awesome info. I just bought one of these last Thursday and I'm trying to learn as much as possible about it.
Please show the functionality after the lift hose swap. I find that the stock set-up is odd.
Will do, I find it much more intuitive to run now.
@@SJWEQUIPMENT Good to hear. Maybe I'll just do it and see for myself. I assume the crossing hoses aren't binding/rubbing?
What kind of grease do you use for tightening the tracks
@@markmaker3528 Any grease, I use the same EP grease that I use for the pins
Do you know a way to determine how much pressure is too much? I've got a similar machine and was thinking of increasing the pressure slightly to get a little more power out of the machine but don't want to go too crazy.
If you don’t have a gauge, don’t adjust pressure.
Good to know, thanks
Does adjusting this pressure make the drive motor move faster. I can barely go like 3mph. Not trying too win a race but like 5mph would be better and more productive.
No, increasing pressure does not increase speed. To increase speed you’d need to increase flow. Which you can’t do without changing pumps.
@@SJWEQUIPMENT ok thank you for letting me know.
