- WARNING: Massive SPOILERS for the entire Hunger Games franchise.
I know, it's SO INVENTIVE to use movie's soundtrack to make a music video for the same movie, but god dammit, The Hanging Tree is just too damn good. Ever since the The Catching Fire came out i became a massive The Hunger Games enthusiast and i wanted to make a farewell tribute using the entire series, so this song, while an obvious choice, still a perfect one.
The Hunger Games series is really good. It's layered, epic and so damn smart. That goes for both books and movies. Yeah, splitting Mockingjay into two parts was a mistake, but even then, i just can't ignore all the thought, talent and detail that went into adaptation. And nobody should. Here's my tribute that celebrates all of it, as well as beloved characters and epic story of a rebellion with a bittersweet ending.
The way this video is made is (at least for me) is unconventional. I don't think i've ever worked with music like this, but i like to challenge myself. It was also difficult to combine the styles of all three (four?) movies together. The first one has shaky and gritty aesthetics, the second one is very bright and visionary, the last one is bleak and apocalyptic. I'm very curious to know what you think of my work, i'll appreciate any opinion, thank you.

I think it was a good idea to split Mockingjay because if they didn't they would have had to leave out more stuff and there was so much going on in the book.
I just wish they’d done that for all books because then we would have more of the book in the movie

I know it was a trilogy, before the ballad of songbirds and snakes, but I always thought of it as 4 movies and never a trilogy just bc Mockingjay was split in two. Now, even tho technically there's 4 movies with the new movie included, I think of it as 5

I love how they use the fact that a simple song gives people enough strength to fight a battle that seems impossible, a battle that their not fighting for themselves but for the children and future

The district 11 revolt in the first movie is easily the best thing the movies added to the story, not only is it a powerful scene but it also contributes to overplot and adds more intensity to what happens there in catching fire

I think the saddest death in the hunger games mocking Jay part 2 when Katniss,s sister prim die from the explosion bomb because katniss take her sister prim,s place in the hunger games only for her sister to get killed in part 2 of the hunger games mocking Jay and also it was sad when rue die in the first movie of the hunger games because she and katniss was working together and the last one that was sad was when Finnick in mocking jay part 2 when he climbed the ladder to escape with the rest of the group but one of the creature pulled him down in the water and Finnick was surrounded by the rest of mutt and he said Katniss then Katniss use Holo,s self- destruct and katniss let go of Holo,s destruct and katniss grant Finnick a quick death.

I understand why katniss killed coin instead of president snow because coin was the reason why prim die In mocking Jay part 2 because president snow tell katniss that it was coin who’s sent the bomb that was coming from the airplane that killed her sister

I saw the new movie of the hunger games The Ballad Of Songbirds and Snake on amazing prime video and it was good but it would be better if Lucy didn’t keep singing in The Hungry Games The Ballad Of Songbird And Snake, I know that katniss sings are you coming to the hanging tree in mocking jay part one but in the movie of The Hungry Games The Ballad Of SongBirds And Snakes, they didn’t show us the dead tribute that kill her mentor on the parade because in the book of The Hunger Games The Ballad Of SongBirds and Snakes it talks about it in the book but the movie of The Hunger Games the ballad Of Songbird and Snakes didn’t have that at all in the movie.
