The Super- Sucky welds you see 👀were early in the game.. they did get better! … not consistently better but improved. I found it hard to be consistent at this point in the learning process🤓 But you can certainly tell from the splattery splutter -I didnt have things dialed in. Hey I’m learning! First time for everything….I’m not quitting my day job 👍😝👍 I replaced the 6 year old “HF” wire with “Yes Welder” Wire and it was a night and day difference. Overall, The biggest thing I learned was ground clamp positioning-preparation and tip angle! Thanks to everyone for your encouragement! Kev 👍🥫👍
I grew up in a welding shop. Never did pick it up, as far as welding. Now knowing how to do certain things and preheating items and whatever else it might be, I've got a fair amount of knowledge on that. Wish you the best
@@Kevscancave no Kevin not junk. It's an artistic creation. Bigger versions of that will bring 50k maybe more. You say some of the stuff they call art and the city's pay so much for!
Great Video Kev 👍😎👍 Yes that was definitely a challenge for someone learning how to weld 👍👀👍 Using deferent types and size of metal 👍😎👍 Great job welder😎
Thanks Kevin! The thing I like the most is figuring out what works best for a small workspace… I will eventually get everything set up on my welding table… so it can just be rolled out and everything‘s outside… grinder, wire wheel, Dremel tool, etc., all one place
Thanks Mr.Kongable.. I liked when you had your little welding series from school on there! Made me wish I could go back in my youth and try again! But better late than never! And as you said, hard work pays off👍💯👍
That's a superb job, especially for a first-timer. "Just put your purse down" - that's very funny! Very enjoyable vid mate, a lot of fun, good photography and most interesting. I really like the downward-force clamp first seen at about 19 minutes - I've never seen one of those before. Cheers Kev, good job all round mate.
Thank You very much Mark! It’s fun and it’s making me use my brain. My wife wants me to make a sunflower next. I’m trying to decide on whether to cut out the leaves or make the leaves out of washers.? I believe, making them out of washers will be more challenging? Thank you very much for your support from Northern Ireland👍💯👍
@@Kevscancave I can certainly see the central part made from washers in that spiral pattern they exhibit. They're a heck of a lot welders here in N. Ireland! Our lights used to dim when our neighbour had the big arc rig, but he's progressed to the more civilised TIG welding now. My brother was a very good gas welder but it got rather expensive. Looking forward to this sunflower. Cheers mate.
Don't feel bad. I just picked up a flux welder last year and started welding. Takes practice to get better I have learned. Awesome video. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible day. Much love and RESPECT
Dang fancy work holder!! Cut my teeth on stick as a teen.. then MIG in my twenties, picked up a small wire feed to run flux, never liked it. Bought a regulator and tank, so it's mig now. Later learned, as I'd known.. stick you drag, mid you push, tig you push... But I didn't think about it, flux core, you drag.. unless running gas with it.. You're doing a good job Kev!!
Thanks Ed! I really have no excuse for not welding earlier in life. Your channel is always an overwhelming treasure trove of cute videos, I had seen some months ago, but the new ones are super. This new hobby of yours for welding objects together struck me, especially when I saw that you were welding the bicycle chain as if it were almost a painting, it's new to me, and I really like it. You truly have the imagination to create and forge your own world. Congratulations 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀

This is cool- no you haven’t carried away, I’m enjoying watching this process . Woohoo, field trip- that is a cool place 👍🏻 ohh- I want to play with all those machines! - I know- we don’t play - they are tools.😂. Alright- back to your work. I don’t know how to weld- my fiance and his dad just bought one- so I’m hoping to learn. So this is cool watching the process. Ohhh 😮 That’s how you get the chain to stay in place! Very cool. Well, can’t the jig be turned upside down to use it the other way. Plus, kind of like eyebrows- the wings are sisters not twins 😂 oh that spring looks more like an abdomen for the body- nice choice 👍🏻 I can smell the hot metal smell . So cool - all the different washer sizes. It looks great!! Your wife is right! And especially for the first art installation. I’d be proud to put that out Kev. WOW!! It looks Great. I know- weld needs cleaning- blah-blah-blah. Cut yourself some slack and have that pride of accomplishment. Yes- ok- aim for better- YET- take the time to acknowledge what an awesome job you did!! Excellent work sir. Full watch and I’m sharing you on Facebook- hopefully get you a few more views! 37:02
