I know this video is 2 years old but i am hoping you'll see this and answer! your amazing and if you were closer I would be a loyal client for sure! I need your expert advice please... I had grown out my pepper and salt ( aprox 40% ) hair for about a year and only had about 3 inches of old very faded color on the ends. I went for highlights and lowlights and hate it !! can you advise how to color back to rick brown using goodwill products. Can I just fill with colorance and dye over with the Top Chic? Im concerned mostly about the natural salt and pepper in-between the highlights and low lights and the small amount of natural root coming in. I hope to hear form you !!!
Awesome video. Both ladies look beautiful. Just letting you know, colorance is mixed two parts developer one part color. Also Goldwell has an awesome color wheel that shows underlying pigment.
My salon was Goldwell for 20 years, but they switched to Wella 10 years ago. BUT, we still keep Silklift Blue and Pink (love the reformulation), the 11 and 12 series w Blonding Cream Ash, and the Colorance Lowlights series. And honestly when our rep comes to get an order I secretly request Colorance 7BM, 8SB, 10BS, and 10V for myself. I wish I could just use Goldwell.
Love love love stew ❤️ can you put the formulas in your description by any chance? I swear I always forget while I’m watching you foil and then I’m sliding back to the formulation parts as I’m watching because I forgot what you mixed 😂 in school right now so loving your videos ❤️❤️
LOVE Godwell! 😉 I use to use it religiously - if you haven’t tried it yet Oligo Cool Blonde & Extra Blonde have stolen my heart! I can take a level 3 to clean 10! It’s unreal! I never thought I love anything more then Goldwell Blondeme oxycur
Hi Stew, I 100% agree with the 6N comment you made where a lot of reddish warmth shows up with goldwell, I really struggle to keep out the warm when colouring my hair it particularly shows up in sunlight! For information my natural hair colour is around a 6/7 and my hair is similar length to yours on top with quite short sides (I also have around 30% greys on the sides), have you got any suggestions of which goldwell product I could use to give me a much more cooler tone? Or if not goldwell, any other product line instead? I've tried all sorts, most recently a 7a with a 7nn (ratio 5mg to 3mg with 8mg 6%) and just constantly seem to get unwanted warmth, any help is appreciated. - I moved from the 6 range to the 7 range as felt the 6 came out too dark for me, I have very light eyebrows.
I would use Joico Youthlocks!! They have a NNA series that's double pigment to cover grays (NN) and ash (A) to counteract warmth! I think you'll love it!
Hi stew can you help me i recently used 5bp and 6bp equal parts, and it turned my hair almost black i also used equal parts 30vol developer. I processed my hair for 30 mins. Should i have maybe done a 6bp by itself if i was looking for a 5bp result
Hi Which is the best goldwell colorance demi color tonning to mix to get super white blond ice cool pearl blond if you have bleach your hair ( 10.3 ) ? Thank you 🤗
Where are you located ?! And wow this was a beautiful tutorial for how to go blonde using gold well. I have some experience on my hair but used wells. My stylist always used gold well and top chic on me so this was very helpful for when I do my hair again.
I find oxy to expand quite a bit in foils, how to you avoid this? Also I’ve DEFINITELY overtones with goldwell, I wonder if the treatment you put in helps with a barrier????? I’d be curious to know
I have been told that they reformulated a few things especially the issue with lightener swelling and I haven't ever had an issue with it swelling. The barrier does slow down the developer and closed the cuticle some if you rinse it out before applying the toner!
Nice job ! I’ve used colorance before, one thing that stood out for me was the formulation and the processing time, their semi-permanents are a 1:2 ratio and the shortest time you can keep it on is 15 minutes . How come you did it as a 1:1 ratio and left it on for less timing ?
No! The reason being is because white hair has no pigment kinda like gray hair. You'll need to get a gray coverage line! I have a video on gray coverage that might help!
You just answered so many questions I couldn't find a solution to in one video, so so helpful Thanks for uploading :)
Interesting video Stew , learning about the goldwell line is just wat I needed Thanku 👍🏼😃
Glad you enjoyed it
obsessed with those goldwell brushes! those are literally all i use to highlight and balayage, amazing job! 😘
Thank you so much!!
Love this!!! Love to see more of this, salon days with toning formulas 💕
I’ll have to do a salon vlog next week!
Just found this video and I’ve been wanting to try Goldwell product line so glad you made this video! Thanks Stew
Any time!

I know! I like using it 1 to 1 so it works faster!! I’ll have to get my hands on a chart!
@@StewStylez oh interesting tip! Thanks!
@@StewStylezWhat do you mean works faster?ty

You're so sweet! They are for Minerva Beauty! Haha I hope I spelled that right, but if you google that it will come up!

Thanks for another great educational video!! 💜
Thank you so much sweet thang!!!! 😘🤠
Coming back to this video because I tried colorance on myself yesterday as my root smudge and it was too watery! I think next time I would mix 1:1.
Let me know how it works for you!!

Any upcoming vids on lowlights on level 8-9? not sure what to use for dimension and I hate the color any tips?
Yes!! I’m actually looking for a model right now!!
@@StewStylez great I'm a fan :)
Hi
Which is the best goldwell colorance demi color tonning to mix to get super white blond ice cool pearl blond if you have bleach your hair ( 10.3 ) ?
Thank you 🤗
I would do 10V and 10BS in the Colorance line! Its the blue packaging if that makes it easier!
@@StewStylez thank you🤗❤️

Thank you! I am located in Utah at JZ Styles salon!!
Hi, where can I purchase the goldwell colorance cover plus in the pink and gray tube, 7n?
I get it from Cosmo Proof!!
Can I use the 2% lotion for 4N colour ? Thank you
What is undertone for Goldwell Colorance 8bp will this tone down warmth ?
Regarding the brunette glaze service, did you add a developer? If so which volume?
I added the colorance lotion!

Which one is better between this and silk lift?
I don’t like silk lift on anyone who is under a level seven! It doesn’t have enough lift to it!
@@StewStylez I used oxycur platin and it turned out yellow. Gotta buy goldwell shampoo
Can you do 6g (Tobacco) Top Chic all over with 20 developer? I was wanting to color my own hair but don't want to ruin it.
Yes you can! But if your hair is lighter than a level 6 I would use 10 volume!
That brunette is beautiful!
Thank you so much!! Let me know what kind of videos you would want to see more of!!

Great point! I mix it one to one so its more pigmented! I found doing it this way makes the color not fade out as easy!
@@StewStylez how long to hold if 1:1? Thanks
I’m surprised at your mixing ratio with colorance. The bottle says one part color and 2 parts lotion. Do you prefer 1:1?
Yes I do! It works faster!! Haha
hi is it possible cover white hair with goldweel colorance?
I'm 33 years old and little white hair
No! The reason being is because white hair has no pigment kinda like gray hair. You'll need to get a gray coverage line! I have a video on gray coverage that might help!
Great tutorial! Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you lovebug!!
Any time!
What brand of shampoo did you used ??
UNITE!!
love this thank you but I could hardly follow cause of the camera angle
It’s you!!
Great video and beautiful work. I've never heard of the Colorance toners being one level darker than what they say they are.
I am not sure if they promote the product this way, but I have noticed that in my experience and other stylist that use it say the same thing!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥
You’re the best babe!
