Glyn had a really interesting voice. I like it. Loving this version. I will put it into my favourites!
the one and only Brian Jones
YES to Brian's flashes of musical skill and independence from the limits of the Stones production ideas. If only, if only we could hear Brian's side of his part in the Stones story. Big thanks for posting this gem 🍒👍🏼
This is the subject of the latest video from the Yesterday's Papers channel
Awesome! Thanks for sharing
This is really good - Brian on sitar adds a very beautiful texture
This is beautiful.
He signed the contract GLYN T JOHNS adding his middle initial and look what happened
Thank you.
Wow!!!
I had no idea Glyn had a recording career. I'm familiar with him through his work with The Beatles, The Stones, et al
What a gem! How did you find this one?
Now that’s rare. Always thought his name is Glyn, not Glynt.
His name is Glyn. 😁
Jon Mark on Spanish guitar
Ah, thanks. 👍🏼
I actually prefer this to The Stones version. I guess It is possible that Brian also plays the recorder.
Most definitely not Brian playing recorder.
Musically more interesting. Dulcimer in place of sitar would have been better imo.
Brian would have done a better job, just IMO.
Better voice than Mick's
Brian also on recorder one presumes?
No, that's by a session musician.
Crazy to think he was not a real singer
Это-же Кит Мун на обложке?
No, it's Glyn Johns.
What year did they record this version of Lady Jane ?
1966. Info in description. ☝️
Yikes. What an arrangement. Sitar is an interesting texture here. Why not throw in a theremin?
Interesting
It sounds like they used Keith’s arpeggiated rhythm guitar track.
No, it's a completely different recording. Jon Mark played nylon string/classical guitar on this.
Interesting I must admit but not that keen on the strings. Nice recorder and of course sitar.
