It's good to be back! I'll post an update video on Friday to make a little sense of the absence. ... I hope all of you have been doing well and staying cool in this heatwave. Sending love to you all. 💛
I think for those of us who aren't skin care and makeup influencers, it is hard to imagine having so much product. I am trying to just take away the idea of really thinking through the functionality and use of the things we organize. But honestly, the biggest take away is that having a lot of stuff becomes a constant battle to keep it all inventoried and to use it before it goes bad and goes to waste.
There’s a lot of truth in that whether it’s skin products, food, clothing, or hobby supplies. We live in an unusual time where acquiring items has never been easier but to actually find true quality and beautiful items takes time and dedication. In a way it’s why someone like Eunice has a job: weed through the junk and point towards the good stuff. So far even though I know they are paid for it I’ve never gone wrong buying a more expensive line than I normally would if hadn’t been recommended. I can afford a $20 shampoo if I have information on it and think it will meet my needs. But I wouldn’t buy a random product off the shelf for that. My hair is a whole lot easier to manage with the expensive stuff.
What I wonder with these types of items is with that many, and that many of each kind of item (toner, moisturizer, scrub/exfoliater, wash) how does one use it for long enough to know whether its helping? I don't use makeup, but a person can create a new look every single day if they have loads of different makeup. With skincare and haircare and so on, how can someone see benefit if they have to move onto the next thing a couple days later?
I think this is a great point @CK1000ism - the more you have, the harder it will always be to manage and at some point, your space will always have limitations that you have to work within if you want to maintain the calm
The best thing to do with doubles is to combine them. When I saw you with 2 half done bottles of the same product, I wish I could stop you right there and just say “ don’t put it away, just put the rest of the product from one bottle to another” 😭😄 that’s what I always do, if I put stuff elsewhere, I’ll just end up buying more. “Out of sight out of mind”.
Eunice is going to feel so great in this space now! You really set her up for success, and made is so easy for her to purge the unused stuff at a glance.
What if you organized it in baskets based of the week or month. Like a weekly/ monthly planner in a basket. Each basket that would contain the skincare of the month Eunice would try. And provide a donation bin for products that she's done reviewing so it's not going back to the shelf unless she love the product and wanted to keep it. I feel like a clear bin for these amount of skincare makes the shelf looks so overwhelming.
You and Eunice are doing a great job continuing to find what organization style works and what level of products are necessary and manageable for her life and her work. Can’t wait for more videos. ❤
I think you have a job for life. You are very patient. I wish I had someone like you who could help me with my house. I’m autistic and I have to balance my need to collect and need for order. Sometimes it feels impossible. Like when my kitchen is crazy I can’t eat because I’m distressed. I bet Eunice feels like that in her room sometimes.
Eunice will love the new set up. I think you’ve made it easy for her to purge as well. This is very cheeky/rude but is there any way you could talk to her friends or relations to say they want stuff from her and that would help with the purge? It’s meant with the best interest. I’m looking forward to seeing her whole apartment and what ye end up doing in each room. Have a great week. Mary, Joes wife 🙇♀️👏💪👍🤞🙏💐
Welcome back, April!! I've loved this series, and I've got some great ideas seeing you moving things around and making it all look great. God bless Eunice for allowing us to learn from her space.
This was fun and very satisfying to see it all come together. I am so glad for Eunice that she is ready to let a little bit go of her products, she will find it so much easier to manage and less stressful. The clothing room turned out great and now this is done, their flat is going to be amazing!
Nice to see you April. The organisation of the skincare products looks so more tidy, and I think it will be useful to Eunice because now she can clearly see where everything is.
Welcome back! I never knew that so many skin care and makeup products even existed! But organizing is organizing so it's fun to watch and learn different things to consider when doing my own organizing projects.
So good to see you back again! Very nice turnaround and organisation video, thank you. I think the amorphous nature of the room must make it difficult to keep organised. Here Eunice keeps work, personal, her husband's, skin care, make-up, hair care - the mix of personal and work alone would be a nightmare. I imagine the crossover would make it difficult to detach from the items which need to go once they've served their purpose in her skin care channel.
So nice to see you April. Eunice's skincare, makeup room looks great! I love looking at all the product. Look forward to seeing the office makeover. LKMH
.Glad to hear your Dad is doing well. As a person who does not wear makeup...seeing all of Eunice's products give me anxiety!!! I realize it is her job . To reduce my stress I liken it to my art supplies!😂😂 I love your organization style and have started the process of storing things in clear containers and labeling!!! So much easier to find things. Thank you for the inspiration looking forward to your book!
I've never seen anybody with so many products as she has, it's no wonder she's overwhelmed; hard to keep up with so much inventory if there's no system in place. Now that's it's all organized, if you can come up with a system and her downsizing 10 of each category will really make a difference.
I’m not sure how her work works exactly, but is there a way that once she has used a product in a video and is therefore done with it, she could immediately donate to friends (ie a help your self basket in the hallway closet!). It just feels like once the product is open there is no way you could get through it in the amount of time it is good unless you are using it exclusively. For example the face cream I use says 12 months once open. I use it every day, and need 2 tubes to get me through the year. So I could have two different face creams on the go at any one time in order to use them up in a year. Any more then two and they would go bad before the 12 months is up. It feels like putting them on the shelf just means that inevitably she will have to keep throwing stuff out once it goes bad. Just wondering if that’s a way to reduce inventory, and help her feel less stressed?
You only go through 2 face creams a year? Is it a big tube?? That's impressive. I go through about 1 a month! And to answer the other part, I know that she gives a lot of open product away to friends and family but from my last talk with her, it seems like both parties are at max capacity now too.
@@SpaceMakerMethod ha ha! i'm clearly using my face cream wrong 🙂 Its a fairly big container i guess, and i don't use much each time as i don't like the feel of too much of it on my face! But i think i'm a bit weird like that! I wonder if there is a womens shelter or similar local to her that would take open product? I'm not sure if you have something like this locally. There is a homeless shelter up the road from me that will take open bottles of toiletries if they have only been used once for example (like shower gel, face and body cream etc). Particularly as she has so much and they would know it was coming from a good source, maybe they would take it on a monthly basis? I don't know if that's an option where you are.
April didn’t mention one of her all time best tips for organizing clear bins: make the front look good. Go back and look at shelves too see what I mean
It's like the lazy way to organize🤪 but actually I really think it helps me manage the need to be organized, but also the desire to just live and not stress about all the details. Glad you like that tip too😜
If this stresses her out so much, she needs to go deeper in decluttering, like getting rid of all those free samples is a good start. I never accept them in a store. All the chemicals in all these products can't be good for your skin in the long run. Good job, though, in organizing.
I just did a total revamp of my makeup room by re organizing all my makeup and display them out neatly so they are accessible but also to remind myself DONOT buy anymore makeup 😂
I think she should be doing giveaways seasonally to get rid of the unused stuff, she gets so much PR that she can get those on ongoing basis and promise herself to no open a new until the used ones are empty.
My only concern with the stacked bins for the makeup is that in order to access anything she has to completely move the whole stack. I can't remember if that's just backstock/extras or she actually DOES need to access it daily because that would definitely be the primary factor. Perhaps some drawer style options for the future instead?
@TheSuitcaseDesigner I would get acrylic drawers/use big makeup bags for "everyday makeup" and place them in where she would normally get ready. The rest of the makeup (depends on how much she's got and how many more she'll aquire on a monthly basis) if it's minimal, stacking them like so in the video is fine. Or get see-through shoe acrylic boxes stack them together. She doesn't have to "unstack" the containers everytime she dips into the items, just pull the drawers out. I use shoe containers for my own makeup organization system and works really well. Fast access and easy to put away. Love ur videos ❤
Am amazed at the quantity of facial stuff! But you did great job organizing! How about a flexible basket or bag on a hook for soft things like hair ties ? Could look cute and free up shelf space. I have a problem getting rid of lipsticks, even if I didn't like it initially.
If Eunice likes the hidden storage, maybe at a future date, she could swap out all those clear containers and go with labels. I know it's a bit of an expense at present, but just a thought.
Or maybe rather then shelves it could be cupboards with doors…. Then when she opens the doors she can see everything, but if she just looks in the room it looks neat and tidy
Suggestion for eunice to have a give away container where she puts items that wont be used by her. When family and friends come over they can take what they want. Looks like she is struggling to purge things because they are not used up and it may seem wasteful to her to throw them out.
It’s what she does: reviewing skin products and if you’ve ever watched a beauty influencer these get sent to you. She isn’t buying ALL of them. It also sounded to me that she passes stuff off to family/friends. I heard “since Eunice’s family and employees access”.
For the hair product bin it might be better to put the taller things in the back so she can see the smaller items. Otherwise she might forget about those products
Its funny how you said in a previous video that eunice has grandma style, which makes sense why she had random stuff in her closet. You should totally take those sunglasses, 😉 they suit you.

This is for her job, not personal use. But I do agree a lot needs to be disposed of. April mentioned "current" projects. Maybe Eunice can consider keeping current and most recent project supplies and purge the rest. I'm sure half the things on the shelves are expired.
Apparently, you are not aware that these products are sent to her to try, use, and then review. They are part and parcel of her profession. In any event, your comment is extremely judgmental, mean-spirited, and uncalled for.
I get it. Even though this stuff is for her work, the amount borders on ridiculous. Previous videos showed lots of product that went into the trash.
