Why does it seem like no one cares that this is theft? Anyone with eyes can tell that these dresses are not 'inspired by' Tetua Matoshi but a complete and utter rip off with the intention to undercut TM's business by making the same clothes cost a fraction of the price. Considering that Mia went out of her way a few years ago to explain that Tetua Matoshi's prices were so high because everyone creating the dresses were being paid a livable wage, working healthy hours, and creating items of quality instead of quantity, it's kind of disheartening seeing Mia promote something like this without even acknowledging that the designs are stolen. I even recall that TM made Mia a free dress for her wedding--- imagine receiving something priceless like that from TM and then turning around and making a video to show nearly 5 million people where to get replicas for 80% off? If someone made a video telling the whole of youtube where to get MiaMaplesMarket replicas for cheaper I bet the response would be different--- but because TM's prices are viewed by most to be 'too high', it's okay to go shopping for stolen designs? Come on.
I agree, Mia should be more responsible as a creator well-known in the fashion industry and NOT promote copycat brands!! Like girl where's your integrity
i dont think she can straight up call it theft as only some of them are stolen, some are just similar and some are unique designs. so she can only really imply that
I just wanted point out that if you think these are mostly stolen designs, buying them from those places does hurt the original artist. Look up Kate Gabrielle. She is selling her awesome pink house bc some many people have ripped off her designs and sold them for less money. Her story shows the impact of stealing someone else’s creativity.
@@NiconD80 Big agree. Everyone deserves the chance to wear a beautiful dress, and considering the state of the economy most people can't afford $1k-10k dresses. It's a little unfair for people to say "you can't buy cheap things if the aesthetic was stolen". Especially in this case where the dresses are clearly just a similar aesthetic. None of the designs are exactly the same.
As a recent bangs convert, I will say I had the roughest time figuring out how to style them. I finally figured out to straighten them forward like i see you doing, but take it one step further and take the outside pieces that frame your face and give em a lil back curl away from your face. Not too much, just enough that they don’t curl under and against your temple.
Mia and Mama Maples, thank you for this and all of your videos. My mom passed away yesterday and I’ve been watching you two all day. You are such special souls ❤
Those dresses aren't "inspired." They are stolen and made with cheaper quality and labor. As someone that adores Teuta and is always on her site😅(getting dresses from her for my wedding), I immediately noticed the stolen designs
You convinced me to use thread up this time Mia. Normally I don't follow youtuber recommendations, but thank you for showing me this great clothes app. I was able to find some really cute clothes I can wear so thank you!!
I just checked out both websites. And since this fashion style is coming back in I'm not even sure I could say it's inspired by. It's just this style of dress is coming back. And yes... More than one company is allowed to make the same style dress. Could you imagine if they weren't? Then there'd only literally be one little black dress.

Teuta Matoshi will always be the Queen of whimsy and fantasical gowns 👑👑👑 I'm going to pass on this dupe brand -- big turn off was that it's made in china which has the worst labor conditions and wages for skilled workers.
I think the pink Marilyn dress was in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. The song she wore singing happy birthday to JFK is the champagne one that Kim K ruined.

yep, that is the "Diamonds are a Girls best friend" dress. ( or Madonna's version, "Material Girl") in regards to Kim K ruining the "Happy Birthday" dress, I really did not understand why she didn't just have a reproduction made for her body, and in her skin tone . shes such a stupid entitled B
Exactly... My first statement to Mia (through my phone... Like she can hear my comments!! 😅) was that it was the right actress but the wrong song. This was the "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend" dress from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes
Mia, if you're tired of the bangs in your eyes, you can always do an Ariel hairdo. When you curl them forward, you need to curl them up after, then they will fall on the side like Ariel's bangs. Then just apply hairspray.
loving the hair! if you curl your bangs up (away from your face), instead of down, you'll get a more wispy bang to the sides so they don't get in your eyes! I think that's what you were going for anyways! :)

just the fact that the package is a shein/temu/aliexpress plastic bag and not a proper dress box for $100+ and $200+ dresses? it says everything.....
Not everyone can afford dress for 1k. And those dresses in video aren't 100% copy. If quality is good, why not to buy cheaper version.
There's also the chance that people watching this video and seeing that the designs are stolen may be discouraged from buying them.
“because i have no supporting actresses holding up my piece” Mia i SPAT😂
As a recent bangs convert, I will say I had the roughest time figuring out how to style them. I finally figured out to straighten them forward like i see you doing, but take it one step further and take the outside pieces that frame your face and give em a lil back curl away from your face. Not too much, just enough that they don’t curl under and against your temple.
wait, I just got bangs too, how do you straighten them forwards? 😭I can't get them to go there and stay
Mia and Mama Maples, thank you for this and all of your videos. My mom passed away yesterday and I’ve been watching you two all day. You are such special souls ❤
Sorry for your loss 😞
Sorry for your loss. It must be painful 😣
I love how the flower straps on the lavender dress went ALL the way down to the lower back ughhh so cute
Those dresses aren't "inspired." They are stolen and made with cheaper quality and labor. As someone that adores Teuta and is always on her site😅(getting dresses from her for my wedding), I immediately noticed the stolen designs
yes girl!! these are totally stolen from teuta's designs! and I love teuta's bridal collections too
The last dress fits you SO WELL!!
I feel like no one else can make these try on videos as entertaining as you, I really enjoy them 🎾🎾
You convinced me to use thread up this time Mia. Normally I don't follow youtuber recommendations, but thank you for showing me this great clothes app. I was able to find some really cute clothes I can wear so thank you!!
Okay but can we appreciate Mama Maples steaming the dresses cuz Mia could never. We all say in unison "Thank you Mama Maples".
you know its going to be a beautiful day when Mia posts! ☺️🩷
@@MiaMaplesyou should try Indian lehengas or saaris 🥻
I just checked out both websites. And since this fashion style is coming back in I'm not even sure I could say it's inspired by. It's just this style of dress is coming back. And yes... More than one company is allowed to make the same style dress. Could you imagine if they weren't? Then there'd only literally be one little black dress.
WAKE UP THE QUEEN POSTED!!🎾

22:17 this color looks amazing on you!!!!!!!
Some of my favirote videos from you are the ones with cake, baking, decorating. Some reason your voice combined with that topic is SO perfect
Mia, it's been a difficult few months for me but watching your videos every week (for years!) has really helped me appreciate life and stay grounded. Thank you so much for making amazing content for us
I’ve strictly binged your videos for the past two weeks. I think I’ve finally made it to the 4 year mark on both channels. Thank you for being such a great role model on honesty, humility, and humor.
I’d pay for more travel, vlog, family, and DIY content where you take us along a journey in your every day . But just wanted to come in here and say thanks for doing something you enjoy and sharing it with us!!
the bangs look really really pretty!!! your hair looks so healthy!!
your cardigan is so cute omg
I appreciate the candidness about your bangs annoying you and not wanting to get out of bed in the morning. These all make me wish I had a wedding to attend so I can buy one LOL 🎾
Good evening Mia and Mama Maples!!! I love all the dresses, but my two favorite dresses are the purple and the yellow dress. Thank you so much for sharing with us, and I hope you both have a Blessed weekend!!!
Miss Jophiel's "about us" page is not only burried on the site but looks poorly written and possibly chatgpt.. not terrible but speaks to the quality care of the company... While the other actual designer has the "about" on the main menu and beautifully layed out and thorough writing
How is being at the bottom of the homepage buried?
@@MamaMOB most sites have it at the top menu
uhmm no one is addressing the elephant in the room, the new profile picture after so many years is giving so cutesy so patootsie so whimsical so lovesome yeah you get the gist. So nice of Mia to change it all of a sudden, such a good suprise💙
Mia addressed it in the pinned comment and on her IG stories so there’s really no elephant! 🐘
@@sticcwithmeg oh I'm sorry I don't use Instagram so for me there was an elephant
@@taaleyakhan3134I'm sorry I just had to giggle at your comment "so for me there was an elephant" 😂
THESE ARE LITERALLY SO PRETTYYY!!! I love the first one one you! It's giving forest fairy vibes!!
Teuta Matoshi will always be the Queen of whimsy and fantasical gowns 👑👑👑 I'm going to pass on this dupe brand -- big turn off was that it's made in china which has the worst labor conditions and wages for skilled workers.
me too!!! teuta matoshi is the real brain behind these designs that have been stolen by miss jophiel!
I think the pink Marilyn dress was in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. The song she wore singing happy birthday to JFK is the champagne one that Kim K ruined.
was looking for this 😭 i was like mia i love you girl but that’s the scene where she sings diamonds are a girls best friend 😭🫶🏼 and as for kim…. idk why we couldn’t just make a replica and leave THEEEE dress Marilyn Monroe woreeeee! the most iconic Happy Birthday ever… smh 🤦🏽♀️😭
yep, that is the "Diamonds are a Girls best friend" dress.
I love these fairy tale dresses, literally makes me feel like a princess
Mia, if you're tired of the bangs in your eyes, you can always do an Ariel hairdo. When you curl them forward, you need to curl them up after, then they will fall on the side like Ariel's bangs. Then just apply hairspray.
loving the hair! if you curl your bangs up (away from your face), instead of down, you'll get a more wispy bang to the sides so they don't get in your eyes! I think that's what you were going for anyways! :)
OMG! It's been a long time since I watched your videos! I remember the Teuta Matoshi era, it was so fun! I don't know why I just stopped to watch your videos but I'm back and wow, you are better and better everyday! I litteraly love your channel and your job. Kisses!
Thank you Mia for reminding me everything I hate about bangs while being cute as heck with bangs it’s only responsible.
These dresses really are a rip-off of Matoshi. I really don't think its right, even though they're super pretty! I hate to see big designers have their designs stolen like that 😒
hi! I enjoy watching your videos with my daughters! we were watching this one and I was inclined to suggest *about the swatch of fabric with the yellow dress* to make a cinched bag with it! ...satin lined with a ribbon? ...again, love your content (and love that I can comfortably watch with my girls 💗)
You can tell Mia was so stresses throughout this videooo. Girl if you need a little break its okay! We love youuu
I saw a comment about missing the non review video’s like reno’s, baking, sewing etc.. same! However I also love these kinds of video’s so i’m always happy! 😂😂❤
Her more mia maples channel has a lot of the baking and random content, highly recommended 🫡✨️
THE FIRST DRESS? MIA!!! You’re so gorgeous!!! You look like a princess 🫶🏻💖
Mia and naomi jon are the only people keeping me using youtube. Forever grateful for their content ❤

MIA YOUR HAIR IS LOOKING STUNNING ESPECIALLY THE BANGS AND THE GREEN DRESS IS SOSOSO GORGEOUS 🎾
2:00 you made a pun and didn’t realize 😂
Love you Mia ❤

The swatch of fabric would be helpful if you were trying to buy matching shoes or other accessories. You could easily stick that in your purse before you go to the store.
IDK if that's why it was there, but it's a good idea.
That is a really good idea, but it is quite a large piece. If that’s the intention, I would think it would be more like pocket square sized.
I watch a lot of sewing tutorials and this one came up a ton on my TH-cam shorts. The dress were fabulous.
And the purple dress goes so well with the perils on the shoes.
I commented on various picures of her dresses and got blocked.Almost EVERY dress is a Teuta Matoshi rip of. Miss Jo is a thief and she knows it.Can everybody share the word. She is playing dirty!!!!
@@morena162 yeah that’s so messed up .like they have the talent and equipments to make great dresses, they could come up with their original designs.
This might be their way of gaining popularity, you know by creating controversy. Either way I don’t personally support them.
10:00 - I’m not holding you back on micro bangs. I have micro bangs (or mini idk) and it’s the best!! I don’t need to style them at all, they don’t get all greasy after one day like long bangs, and JUST DO IT, MICRO BANGS RULE🤟🏼

Okay Mia. I've heard you mention micro bangs 1000 times now. So here it is : MY BLESSING. You should do it ! You clearly want to do it but are scared of it. However, might I remind you that hair grows back (rather quickly might I mention) so I think you should just GO FOR IT. You're welcome.
NOOOOOO! Please don't, they look silly on people.
@@PrincessLorieI love baby bangs, but I grew up around goths and other alternative folks.
@@Aster_Risk I guess it's all perspective. 🤷🏻♀️☺️😉
given that this store is just a made in china copy of the more expensive brand (but better quality than aliexpress knock offs), anything in the description like "recycled polyester" is probably all a lie.
I have been watching you videos since the last four years and I have to say you have grown so much and it's so amazing.
Mia you were so pretty with that green dress and the hair and makeup ,it looked like you just came out of a fairy tale
Please make a clutch purse for the yellow dress, with the material you accidentally got! Would be a really cool video! 💛
I love all your videos Mia! Your style has evolved so much. That threadup sweater is so cute! I would love more home decor or sewing videos.
People need to start inviting mia to galas so she has a place to wear these dresses lol
I would love to see you review Lucy and Yak. They are a brand from the UK with really fun designs! Also they are pretty sustainable and ethical! 😊
Sidenote, I love your hair. It looks amazing on you! 😍 (even though I know having bangs can be a pain...😂😅)

The tennis ball just sitting there like 🎾🧍♀️ lol. I love these dresses!! I mainly love the ones that give the running through an enchanted forest vibes
Just started the video and right before you mentioned the elephant in the room I was already thinking, these dresses look a lot like the Matoshi ones. A lot of them look like an exact copy of Teuta's....which one thing is to be inspired and another is to copy it exactly...
To me it's no contest, the lavendel tea dress looks like it came straight out of a dream 😍 It also looked amazing with your figure and skin tone! Was a little surprised by how few voted that as the fave on IG
When you said “let me address the elephant in the room” I really thought it was gonna be the “yes I got bangs!!!!”
either way you look beautiful as always and I love these videos!!

The last dress is my favorite. Not one thing I would change. I really like the first green dress if the boning ribbon was green instead of white. Thanks, Mia. Hope your finger heals quickly.😊❤
You look so beautiful in all of these dresses, but the yellow and the pink really make your pretty face pop! lol, or glow, or whatever…you just look extra pretty in those last 2
Last two dresses complimented your skin so beautifully! Love these colors on you!!
& loving the white heels! Sooooo cute! 😍😍😍
I love the last dress best. I would like the first one more without the white boning, like you said. Mama Maples rocks the gloves
I think the swathe of fabric with the yellow dress is to be used as a privacy panel next to you behind the corset string's if you wanted one

Not sure if you'll mention it in a video, but Safiya had a video where she bought one dress on tiktok from multiple websites, and some of the websites had stolen pictures and reviews from other websites!
I would love if Mia did a video like that!
Thank you so much for this review!! I started to see Miss Jophiel reels/shorts about a year ago and I really wondered about the quality!! They look too good for that price!
