Back in the Day you could get a good UV Remote for that price. ($20)...but now that everything use Wifi, HDMI, and Secured Software...classic UV Remotes no longer work for them and now need a fancy Remote which have a tiny touch screen/buttons on it and cost at lest $38 With those you can control everything in your house, car, and job.

What do you mean by “Wi-Fi based” aren’t all tv’s connected to the Wi-Fi??
Not all TV are connected to WiFi. Some still get classic Cable, free local channels ( via a chanel tuner) or only use DVD.
