I have both having started with the U2 which is great. I bought the X1 later which isn't so great. It is a nightmare to program and sometimes it doesn't switch inputs on my receiver. Over all the remote is nice to use but you will go through many programming hassles on your phone to get it right. Took me 4 days. Bottom line is get the U2 until Sofabaton smooths out the X1.

My guess is you didn't actually purchase either remote, and instead they were provided by Sofabaton? You really didn't provide much of an explanation of the differences between the two remotes, other than to demonstrate each. With all of the comments I read online about the programming deficiencies of the Sofabaton remote, I would have expected to see some mistakes made when you programmed them, and how to go back and correct them.
All in all, this seems more like an advertisement for Sofabaton than an actual unbiased review.

I want the X1 form factor and the U2 function without the hub.
Why so little buttons on the X1? It may be more advanced but I want way more than just the default playback and volume buttons without having to look at the display.

chromecast(with it's many remote settings) combined with a ir learning remote destroys this thing, considering the price. you can control edifier speakers with like a 7 eur remote
