    Good in depth review mate 👍🏼 for the price that is an amazing bit of kit cannot wait to have a go. We both know what brakes would be great on it 🤣

    Sat on one yesterday, going to book a test day trial with one later today with a nod to buying one. It felt good, I’ve had a good pedigree of former bikes, GT, Cannondale, Orange, Specialized etc and was impressed with the ZoBop. I have a hardtail at present but a bad back is causing me issues with jarring when I’m riding.
    I looked at a full sus, the Specialised Status 160 for £2750, a great spec but I’m past it for serious tracks ( too old and a serious back injury have seen to that ) despite being on the doorstep of Afon Argoed and I think I’ll get more out of a combination of full suss/electric bike. I must admit to a little snobbery at the brand, but the spec, and the quality of the welding etc put my mind at ease.
    I had the new shape Skoda Octavia a few years ago as a company car for 6 months ( I actually had 2 ), my colleagues took the p155 until they came in them then they were all jealous. They took the second one off me and replaced it with an Audi A4 S Line which I hated, it didn’t have a patch on the Skoda. An owner of one of our sub contractors saw my first one and left site to order a brand new one straight away, so people don’t let badges sway your opinions.

    Hi lads, I own zobop e and same here - for this price it’s amazing bike. 1600miles done - just brakes needed bleeding. I have E7000 motor, only thing that need to be considered is Halfords bike build quality, just check everything before taking it out of shop. On eco mode I can easily do 60km range, and uphills are so easy now 😂 cheers for such a good review and hope you will stay with these bikes as they are awesome!

      Great bikes ain't they! That's a lot of miles glad it's been reliable for you! Halfords do need to infest more in their cycle staff that's for sure. We will probably do an update video in 6 months to a year let everyone know how the zobop e is fairing👍 thanks for your comments enjoy your bike!!👊🔥

    7000 has bottle mounts the same,the motor overall is larger the way to tell difference is crome ring on motor casing is only on 8000,ive upgraded brakes now 4 pot ,bars stem ,grips,swapped fork for lyric,this bike is now on par with any 5 grand plus bike

    • @phantombigballs8165
      @phantombigballs8165 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is it... I've ridden one as curtly testing lots of ebikes.
      I would say it wasn't anywhere near as good as day a 5 grand trek rail 9 or cube which I have also tested.
      Granted the voodoo is a nice bike for the money but if you end up changing brakes, bars stem you could get a better bike form the off with better geo. Also the dropper post situation is weird due to the frame design only 125mm drop max .

    Really good review mate, if i had the money, i would be tempted with something like this, it would be my alternative bike, mainly for places like the wrekin ( downhill trails with multiple push ups) or rides with fellow ebikers as i know one or 2 now haha, i would love one 👍

    I tried one of these, granted the guy who owned it was running 10psi in the tyres so I don't know if it's a fair comparison, but it felt plusher than my sb165 with PUSH 11.6 and coil fork. I don't know if all e bikes feel plush like this one because of the weight, or it it was the soft plus tyres or the suspension. I felt like a fool spending 3k on suspension upgrades for a Halfords bike to feel plusher 😂 do all e mtbs feel as plush as this voodoo or is it more tge plus tyres at 10psi you think made it feel so soft?

    • @yourmtblocal

      Sorry for the slow reply. I'm thinking it was the tyres because the fork on it ain't very good 👍

    So its a 3k bike most of the time and really needs new brakes new rotors new forks wider bars may as well buy a 4k bike

    • @yourmtblocal
      @yourmtblocal  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty much mate but we are using it for quite extreme trails. If people are just going to ride xc then they will be fine with it standard. Mike got a discount and signed up to cycle to work so was a no brainer really at the price he got it. He has now changed the rotors and it's made a big difference 👍

    • @phantombigballs8165
      @phantombigballs8165 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@yourmtblocal my pal bought one because it was the cheapest full sus.... since then he's realised he made a mistake. For Swinley and Surrey Hills its fine but I took him to coed y brenin and afan... he had no brakes pretty much and the forks wereout of their comfort zone at time. Since then he's spent money on brakes, forks wider bars and tyres. So his voodoo is now a 4 and a bit grand bike with a smaller battery than others. I Think out of the box like you say its alright for light XC but compared with my trek rail that with his upgrades is now nearly the same price I'd rather save up and get a better bike from the off.

    Is this bike still working? Been any problems?

    • @yourmtblocal
      @yourmtblocal  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's off to be looked at at the moment. Noise coming from the motor which it was doing in warranty but they managed to fix it now its out of warranty and making a noise again it suddenly can't be fixed like last time so hopefully they will do the right thing and not change for the motor to be fix once it comes back. My gen4 bosch is still going strong though over 3 years in if that helps.

      Is your bike a cube?

    • @yourmtblocal
      @yourmtblocal  ปีที่แล้ว

      My bike is the cube and its all still working only issue was it put itself into limp mode cause it thought I had been tampered with when it hadn't. It's had a software update since then so hasn't happened since. I would recommend the cube its shit hot. Looks good and price is good👌

  • @FlyingFun.
    @FlyingFun. 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    So with all the upgrades might as well buy a better bike in the first place?
    I considered this but decided there was not much point spending £3k for a bike that wasnt quite good enough and decided to convert my old mtb for £300 which is faster and goes further, I don't do much jumping anyway so the handling is good enough for light xc

    • @yourmtblocal

      I think Basingstoke store but they phoned around other stores and found one because of lockdown there was nune available. I think we were just lucky to get an e8000. I think voodoo go by what they can get from Shimano because there is high demand from bike brands for motors.
