Making Banana Bread From A Vintage Cookbook

Today I decided to make banana bread from a cookbook I bought because of one of The Addams Family movies.
The cookbook itself is called The Joy Of Cooking and was originally published in 1931.
Since I collect old magazines and cookbooks, I couldn't resist getting it and actually I think the recipes I've tried are generally pretty darn good.
