sir, many IAF officials have now officialy stated that IAF is not inetrested in Tu-160 because of various concerns like cost and need of new bigger Hangars
But More than IAF it's indian navy which is interested in Long range strategic bombers that's why in early 2000s when Indian Government negotiating the multiple defense deals with Russian govt. Which includes Admiral Ghorshkov aircraft carrier+ Akula class nuclear attack submarine+1L36 maritime patrol aircraft upgrade deal+ follow Talwaar class deal+ kamov Ka31 helicopter deal then it was indian navy which was making a case for the lease/ purchase of 4 to 6Tupolev Tu22M3 backfire long range Martime strike strategic bombers deal as part of overall packaged deal. But due to budgetary constraints indian navy shelved off the plan of acquiring Tupolev bombers from Russia although Russian again tried to offer the same deal albeit with new Tupolev bomber like TU160 in 2010/11 but again due to budgetary constraints indian navy never went with the same as indian navy Back then had it's own wish list for acquiring others warships submarines+ P8i Psodean MRPA aircraft + investment in capacity building through our indigenous project of warships building. Therefore more than IAF it was indian navy which was eyeing for the same bombers but never been able to arrange the resources for the same.
No one can do anything about it because if current government doesn't do it opposition will wnd they will win they should come at a agreement no one will give freebies except monthly ration as we can afford that
indian navy decision making is way better then IAF AS NAVU HAS CHOOSEN QUICKLY BETWEEN HORNET & RAFALE AND INFORMED THE MOD WHILE IAF IS STILL UNSURE ABOUT ITS FUTURE. ONLE AIRFORCE WHICH HAS ALL SERIOUS AIRCRAFT MADE BY FORIEGN NATION.
Russian started to occupy the Kuril Island of Japan. It's now part of Russia and Japan claim still claim those island their that why have hostility towards each other.
Just my thoughts ; IAF have other priorities like Stealth fighter aircraft, MUmT, UCAVS, Super Sukhoi, Kaveri Engine, Tejas mk1a & 2 etc. after that Transport aircrafts and Force multiplier systems are there to procure. Then comes AD systems and Ground control systems. Believe me, A dedicated Bomber is something that IAF will look last. With on-going development of AURA (Ghatak) UCAV and drone systems + Standoff A2G systems from fighter aircraft+ Optionally Pioleted systems being tested on Surya Kiran aircraft (if I'm not wrong), these white elements (Dedicated Bombers) have little role to play. And they are very week against SAMs of enemy. We are still developing country with just ~4T$ (as of current rate) and not an economic giant. We can't spend money on white elements.😅
its impossible for India to buy Tu-160, India doesn't have air base nor airport, runway, hangar to operate Tu-160 and maintenances cost is very very high.
India IAF needs a fighter jets as follows..... 40 strategic corporate bombers 60 midium strategic bombers 400 tactical bombers jets 300 light combat multirole jets 600 medium combat multirole jets 200 heavy combat multirole jets 400 air superiority combat jets 200 heavy combat intercepter jets 60 - 360° medium range AWACS 40 - 360° long range long endurance AWACS 60 submarine hunter jets 100 medium Cargo jets 60 heavy Cargo jets 200 military transporting jets For current situations of war scenarios like WW3
Really confusing video, anybody reading the title will think this video is about the specific role of TU 160 in Indian situation but really on one side says about the vulnerability of a large non stealthy bomber and on the other side compares TU-160 with SU 30 that's it. So what's the point? still it doesn't answer why IAF need TU 160 specially or a bomber to begin with. Title should have been "what is a bomber aircraft, its use cases".
@@prudentiatech i really like the way the video is made i have no complaints about it, what i am trying to say is, in the What is a Bomber section it clearly says large bombers are Vulnerable to modern air defense systems and so TU-160 is Vulnerable and not stealthy, so for just the purpose of launching more Brahmos missiles, is TU - 160 economical when Russia itself has only fewer ones operational? For achieving a large saturation attack its always economical to launch from land, were they can be hidden is tunnels or underground bunkers. Instead of TU 160 what we actually need is a stealthy bomber which we can operate secretly from different bases. Even in Ukraine Russia engagements bombers are deployed far away from border to avoid getting destroyed in missile attack because Russia is big country, has strategic depth to deploy them like that, for us we don't have that luxury. Also only few days ago officials have stated clearly that they never shown interest to TU-160 for the purpose this video is saying.
endia already have the holy white cow.. it is powered by 8 bajaj engines, making it an 8th generation plane. The holy white cow has 2 carton wings.. it can fly 10cm above the ground when pushed by the 8 bajaj engine. So, endia would not need a white swan.
NO IAF needs to learn lessons from the Russo-Ukraine war. Russian weapon systems are poor in performance and not worth the investment!!!!!! Its time for the great nation of India to wean itself from its dependence on Russian weaponry. And besides Russia won’t have access to high end military grade semi conductor chips decades.

No we need more free ration and reservations in STEM
Edit - i'm being sarcastic and mocking two communities

Sick politician....
We need it
How many days it'll take to upgrade your information about real Range of Brahmos missile??? 290 km is for Export varient
Vai leave it.....these people are hopeless
What India needs is fast production line and some jets to protect these squadrons
High time we start planning for the future.
what future? endia has no future.
indian navy decision making is way better then IAF AS NAVU HAS CHOOSEN QUICKLY BETWEEN HORNET & RAFALE AND INFORMED THE MOD WHILE IAF IS STILL UNSURE ABOUT ITS FUTURE. ONLE AIRFORCE WHICH HAS ALL SERIOUS AIRCRAFT MADE BY FORIEGN NATION.
Youre wrong at the start of the video, the Japanese did not surrender because of the bombing. It was because the soviet decleared war on the Japanese
Russian started to occupy the Kuril Island of Japan. It's now part of Russia and Japan claim still claim those island their that why have hostility towards each other.
Finally, someone else knows history 😅

How do you make your animations?
its impossible for India to buy Tu-160, India doesn't have air base nor airport, runway, hangar to operate Tu-160 and maintenances cost is very very high.
Yes big investment on infra is required..

For current situations of war scenarios like WW3
For what? MoDani's only interest is to make sure it is worth $500 billion company.
Everything else is irrelevant.

It's strike aircraft not a bomber

I think you need to see the video again.the video clearly explains why IAF needs a big bomber like tu160 and challenges in implementing in the IAF.
