Agreed! I wish I had gotten more of the wigs, as i have all the characters and one of the plastic pegs broke for one wig. It's difficult to find the stuff now. I have the Possibilities boutique, fold-up bedroom, and the cabin still too.

Nobody wanted to buy Slate from cave club in my local toy store. There used to be two and now only one Slate still stands on a shelf. I kid you not he’s actually there at this present day for like 3€ and it’s the same one… I find that so insane
I enjoyed seeing some of the doll lines that have been discontinued over the years it was interesting, I remember most of these lines which surprised me
I still have a soft spot for my Alie Lectric. I think that the problem with them was the fact that each one of them was kinda gimmicky, expensive to produce and uneven when it came to their quality. Not only they had to look differently, each of them was doing an entirely different thing. That had to be a lot of research and production cost for a playline doll that wasn't expensive. And it was a hit or miss if their gimmick was a decent one or kinda "meh" so if someone bought one of the "weaker" ones that would be their impression of the brand as a whole and things like that can impact the sales.
I miss them as well. They were really hard to find here in Sweden when they came out. I only have 1, but I think they could have been so much more populair. It was a cool concept.
I’d love Mattel to bring back My Scene, sadly they don’t have a huge fan base as MH does, a collector line would be great, Sadly they don’t see 2000s dolls yet as a throwback but time will tell, also there’s a big factor of them being in the middle of a bad time for Mattel and drama/lawsuits with MGA

My Scene was basically a playline doll and their clothes and accessories were amazing. 🤩
I got one of the cave club dolls because she was on sale. Like you, they weren’t my favourite doll lines but I was surprise when I took the doll out of the box. Her accessories were detailed and well done unlike Barbie stuff.
Im sooo sad that Cave Club is gone. I loved them so much! The first picture i did see i was just inlove. I really liked Fail Fix as well..........everything i love just go down ahhhhhh and Mermaid Mermaze............

The line I wish lasted longer was Wild Hearts Crew. I got Cori Cruise when she came out, and I wish I hadn't hesitated on getting the others, because they just came and went so fast.
I love my cave dolls. I’ve bought up several and the big Dino. They make a colorful display and they may end up like Novi stars in the end. My scene should reboot. They are always first to sell on resellers pages!!
I'm newer to doll collecting. I alwys had a few dolls, but got more serious about 6-7 years ago. I just missed Monster High! Luckily i could thrift them, Bratz and Ever After for real cheap back then, once I gave in to the hobby/obsession. I also have thrifted and love My Scene, Liv, old Disney play lines. I love these kinds of retrospectives! New dolls are great (I got a few Cave Clubs) but the old ones rock too!

I started getting Dawn dolls that i had as a kid and my Mom threw away, then i saw the RH, SH and then i went crazy with the MH. I love buying second hand and fixing them up. I missed out on all of these lines due to me trying to act like a grown up and starting a new family life (🙄🙄don’t know who I was trying to fool, myself or others🙄🙄) but I totally agree with you that these lines should have lasted longer. Now I’m scrambling to find them on the secondhand market at a fair price 🫤🫤🫤 But I really miss Wild Hearts Crew the most, though I do have a couple, and Project MC2 dolls. They were amazingly beautiful imo.
Awe I was so excited for cave club and collected 1 of each character in the line but I bet the timing for it and probably even wild hearts crew that the pandemic probably did hurt both lines 😭🤦🏻♀️. My daughter still picks WHC as her fav “Barbie’s”. Def sad didn’t get more. I do kind of wish cave club dolls had been more closer to a normal Barbie size doll just cause redressing them is challenging or vice versa using their fashions but cry babies bff clothes & shoes fit them so I’m happy for that win ❤️❤️❤️
Candylocks, Party Pop Teenies, Hairdorables etc... so many more have disappeared 🤷🏻♀️ IDK if they're discontinued, but they're gone from shelves. You can, of course find them for resale online or at thrift/antique/doll shops/flea markets booths/resellers,but they're not being produced anymore that I'm aware of. Maybe they were just meant to be limited time & not intended to last long so many dolls/toys just come & go, so few stay around for decades like Barbie has.
Awe my daughter & I enjoyed Hairdorables, party pop teenies and Candylocks as well as fail fix, capsule chix, boxy girls, snapstar and lots more. Oh off the hook dolls too ❤❤❤

I remember Cave Club being roasted in the media for being the "creationist" dolls. While they are definitely giving the Flintstones vibes that moment in history wasn't the best for the release since there wasn't any Flinstone nostalgia going on or anything like that so people casually buying dolls for their kids etc. weren't having the best opinion on them. If anything, it even gave the Flintstones a bad press since it was basically a world of the '50s in a creationist fantasy world (so an ideal to the alt-right people who aren't typically Mattel fans as the Barbie movie has proven😅).
I miss Myscene I had so many Madison dolls. Why did they cancel Ever After High before developing Rosabella's and charming's relationship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
