- Hub ring is a common mechanism that moves the arms up and down accordingly to make a wave-shape swing effect located under the main boom. Invented by HUSS for their 3 spinning flat rides models: Magic, Megadance, and Flicflac.
Hub Ring is consisting of 2 main parts. The upper part is connected to all ride arm and the lower part is connected to 4 electric drive Hub Ring motors and between upper and lower is I bearing ring. When the ride is loading or unloading the upper part is stay horizontal to make all gondolas flat to the ground. Once Hydraulic cylinder tilted the upper part down one side, it lifting the arms on that side up accordingly. When the main arm starts rotate the hub ring rotate in the different direction makes the arms up and down alternatively. if the hub ring rotates fast enough, the arms can swing up and down quickly and resist the centripetal force of the main arms rotation that wave-shape swing effect will occur.
The Hub Ring in 3 models is the same principle but slightly different. As this one on Mega Dance Model, the hub ring is tilted shallow than the others which are enough to make 90 degrees swinging effect.
Did you know: there are 3 HUSS Mega Dance Left in the world at Siam Park City in Thailand, Benny land in Japan and Selva Magica in Mexico. On the other hand, the rides in Mexico the hub ring is broken that is rotate doesn’t fast enough to make wave-shape swing effect. Except at Siam Park City and Beny Land still, can do it.
So in dem Originalzustand würde ich auch noch damit fahren. Aber mit den wilden Überschlägen als FlicFlac nicht mehr.

Der hier läuft auch am ruhigsten und wird anscheinend ausreichend gewartet. Der Megadance in Selva Magica in Mexico quietscht fürchterlich!
