@@geminilife756 I tried to put the first car in my business name but they denied it because I didn’t have proof of income (i.e. tax return) and not enough business credit.

Smart tip about NOT having your personal Insurance available to the guest.
As far as getting financed, buying several cars in less than 30 days is because the personal credit info of new accounts is only updated monthly to the credit bureaus for the most part.
Renting nice mid level cars is correct due to demand, reasonable Insurance and cost maintenance compared to luxury / exotic cars. SUVs with large capacity is key. If hybrid even better!
Actually the first car was added to my credit profile in 2 weeks, so move fast!
You still need some type of insurance to cover driving to or from customer, or while it sits in front of home or storage. People in my area have been stealing catalytic converters as cars sit outside
Spot on! I did the same thing with 4 cars but I used credit union approvals. My next round of vehicles will be this way !

Make sure you blank out the license plate in your listing picture, lenders such as Ally are now paying 3rd party companies to find out if you are renting the car on apps like Turo. Worst case they could repo your car for breech of contract.

I was able to Finance 3 cars in less than 2 weeks!! Just started this about 2 weeks ago and all was approved with a 735 Fido score.
1. credit union called First Tech (2016 BMW m5
2. Porsche Financial Services 22’ Cayenne
3. Stellantis Financial 18’ BMW M3
That’s gotta be a hefty monthly for those three cars. How has it been renting them on Turo? I always wonder how many months you’ll have to write off losses. But I guess that has advantages too?
Great information, I am looking to get into the business myself. I'd like to add a nugget "tactic" to return the gift of information. Don't Say you can "PROFIT" from insurance claims, That's a major no no! insurance in only to make you Whole. The IRS WILL SEE YOUR VIDEO AND LET YOU KNOW YOU HAVE JUST ADMITTED TO PROFITING and must include ever dime over your insurance cover as income at your normal tax rate. that's very important because Auditors do whatch YOU TUBE because you tuber's brag on their income and have know Ideal about auditors!

A super important subject that you haven’t talked about: how to finance a car without breaking the contract? Alot of banks don’t allow their cars on turo and will repossess. And what about insurance too? You also need to find insurance that will cover your vehicle for turo.

I would love to do this!!! Would SUV's still be a wise investment with gas prices so high right now? Buying the cars the way you did is very smart. There was a law passed in 2008 purchasing big ticket items such as cars and hones that allows your credit to be pulled 45 consecutive days and it only counts as one credit inquiry. Nice strategy I love it

I liked your video but I did want to say that it depends on what state you're in Most states require that you put your insurance card in the glove box. Because Toro only covers you in an accident what happens if the guest gets pulled over for speeding or for drunk driving they can't hand the police the Toro insurance they have to hand them the insurance that has assigned to the car

How did you get around the clause in your loan papers forbidding commercial or business use? I do not recall the exact wording. I have heard from other hosts that a few lenders are searching Turo for cars they have loaned on and are at times either calling loans due, cease and desist letters, or just outright repossessing?

Hi Dave, thank you for the very informative video. I think this is one the most realistic advice I have found online regarding Turo as a business. Can you shed some light on your experience of owning and running VW and Dodge cars in the business. Are they reliable? Don't you think the Japanese cars would be far less expensive to maintain in terms of spares and repairs? For example Toyota, I heard they are built like tanks and made to last.

This was a very informative video. I have been thinking about doing this but worried about my credit, and dealing with accidents. What concerns me is how many times will dealerships run your credit? I'm so glad I ran into your channel.
They will run your credit probably at least three times but it’s only going to affect your credit score maybe by two or three points. all the inquiries will not count against you If they are all within a couple weeks of each other.
@@TuroTactics respectfully, just to add. Most credit reporting agencies will record multiple inquiries from dealerships as just one inquiry if done within 14 days (some cases 30 days). That is the the same with mortgage lender inquires (I think they are typically 30 days) because the credit reporting agencies know that you are shopping for best rates. Now this may be very different from case to case as I’ve read people actually have all inquiries show up the next month and they had to fight to get them reduced or off.

Hey Dave I love your content and how informative this is to the world of Turo hosts. I have a question, outside of the Turo insurance what type of insurance do you use for coverage full or liability on your vehicles? And what are some things you can do to minimize the cost of non-Turo insurance?
I put the bare minimum liability coverage. I do not put uninsured motorist.

That’s what is nice about the capital one auto navigator app you can adjust your down payment and it tells you what cars you qualify for.

I want to start a business with TURO I just open my LLC and I have a question did you put all those 3 cars on your name or do you have an LLC? You didn't mention that. Also can I use the EIN instead of mu ss for capitol one?
I have all the cars in my name and my wife’s name but I did get an LLC after I had purchased the cars. But I haven’t bought a vehicle in the LLC name yet because I still need to build up my business credit. I don’t think you can use your business EIN to purchase a car through capital One.

Dave! I'm truly glad I came across your video I have two friends there brothers. They started like this to rent for turo. They now have about 12 cars. I've asked how and what to do, got a run around wast motivated enough. Now with your video I'm more than motivated too, but my concern at the moment is what if a car gets booked at a time during work hrs and I have no way of getting the car to them.
