Is the 2019 Audi Q7 the MOST useable LUXURY 3-row SUV?

- The 3-row SUV segment is crowed but the Audi Q7 may be the luxury answer. Under the hood is a 3.0L supercharged V6 that produces 333 HP & mated to an 8-speed automatic. It's exterior has familiar Audi styling and on the inside you will find a ton of great tech, style, and fit. Is the 2019 Audi Q7 the SUV to buy for 3-row luxury satisfaction.

Great review! I am actively shopping for a 2017-19 Q7. I can just imagine how well it will handle the curves in the Cascade Mountains (when there’s little traffic, I take the racing lines the way you do 😉). The engine cover may hide the good stuff, but not only does it help keep it cleaner, it also provides a modicum of sound deadening. I’ll take that trade off. I have test driven several Q7s, and it’s remarkable how quiet they are even under acceleration loads.

my wife and i just got home from the dealership where we took a look at a '23 Q7, what a beauty but also such a disappointment. A lot of review only focus on how to fold the middle seats and get into the 3rd row. In reality those getting into the 3rd row seat will be younger kids, kids who will be traveling on long trips with food, drinks, and who will get motion sickness. I got myself back there i was comfortable when it comes to space. the temperature in our area is 105 right now 3.30pm, i quickly got sick just sitting down in the 3rd seat, there's not a single vent back there. not having the vents back there is what made us walk away from even test driving it

I was hoping to find your review of the Q7 Joe! I recently purchased a 2017 3.0T Premium Plus with only 13k miles on it. I agree with all the 3rd row zonks, but other than that it’s such a premium and luxurious SUV to drive!
You got the value pal. Also this car is not for 3rd row to be honest. If you REALLY need the 3rd row, there are other options better than this. Just treat this as a luxury 2 row suv and this is bang for the buck

Interior is nice, particularly the dash layout. I don't care for the brushed aluminum trim, it looks cheap to me. I would go with a wood trim, it adds a certain elegance. I'm okay with the exterior, the back is fine but the front needs to be a bit streamlined or perhaps aggressive.

The 2019 Q7 is not supercharged, it was the v6 single turbo engine. The older (2015 or less) had the v6 supercharged motors
They still put the 3.0 v6 supercharged in the 2019
I always preferred the 3.5L V6 engine in the Acura MDX with SH-AWD, however the Quattro Audi 3.0L Supercharged would definitely be a strong second choice. It’s an overall better car than the BMW X5 and Infiniti QX60

Except the BMW x7 is the direct competition. And the optional twin turbo v8 will own this.
If you haven’t driven a Q7 with the super six, you might change your mind. The Q7 with this engine is shockingly smooth and powerful.
@@HiPlains1Twin Turbo = twice as many things to break. I admit it’s powerful, but that power comes with a literal price, especially when repairs are needed. “Breaks My Wallet” comes to mind.

I wish they had kept more of the assertive exterior styling of the prior generation
Good review, like many you have done. I prefer the newer edgy styling of 20 Q7 which resembles the Q8. I agree the 3rd row is tight, but when the middle seat like you mentioned is slid forward it is adequate and works ok for smaller adults...or my wife and her GF in the rear when going out to eat with 2 other couples. I just wish Audi would make them about 5" longer. I also prefer this vehicle to the BMW X5 with the 3rd row, way more room. The driving experience on these Audi's are so much more satisfying vs the competition from the American counterparts from GM- Suburban and Ford-Expedition, and the Audi's are less money when comparing options. For a 3rd row SUV, this one is hard to beat.
The front end is less classy in 2020. Audi took a step backwards.
Why didn’t they just make the middle captains seat so the third row is accessible thru the middle?????
