I wish you would have mentioned that the type of the topstitch properties need to be changed from obj to texture :( I spent so much time trying to figure out why my stitches arent showing up in the UV map

Hi! may i ask how you did it? I've been fighting like crazy with this part, and looking for info, and there's no way to make the stitching show up in the UV Editor! Other stitchings show up in there just fine but not this decorative one i added!
      Thanks!!

Thank you for taking the time to make this video, but it's such a tease, haha! It's too sped up to see what you are doing in PS or Blender, and certain steps are cut out, like what you did to your UV map file before opening it in PS, because MD doesn't export it like that in 3 layers like is shown in your video...I'm really trying to learn how to bring my CLO3D creations in to Blender, so I'd love to see a bit slower tutorial, with all the steps! I even slowed your video down to 0.25X speed, and your voice sounds like mud, but I can sort of see what your mouse is doing in Blender at least! Thanks!

Appreciate the feedback but my intention with these videos is to keep them short and sharp, I find there's so many videos on youtube that go for 1hour+ to explain this stuff so my goal is to make it more accessible to people who already have a decent knowledge of either program. But! I am currently making a more longform / slowed down style 2-3hour short course i'll be releasing soon so stay posted! thanks :)

@Lisa Eriksson Sometimes you gotta work your way around and explore, thats how you learn best, you dont always need to know each step to be sent in the right direction! Get out there and try, fail, succeed 😁 Good luck!

Have you done this with an Alembic (OGAWA, if it matters) into a 3D program? Im trying that now, baking my UV, and importing into Unreal. When I apply the material using the UVs I made, it shows up completely wonky and awful, with the wrong roughness and everything.

    Hello! I have two questions:
    - What's the best way to have several materials on one cloth? I mean, here you have green stripes on your white shirt ; did you just sex the stripes on the shirt, or is there a way to draw the green stripes with internal lines?
    - I'm trying to export a dress with a shiny material, in FBX. In Blender I do have the proper colors of the dress, but it's not shining at all... My dress has a Velvet material with 100% roughness, it makes it shine brightly. Is there a setting to export it in Blender in a way that it shines the same way?
    Thanks for your help!
