Summary: Technically the actual VISUAL CUE settings mechanics wasn't touched. It was the fluctuation of latency or latency in general that causes all these inconsistencies on your shots.
Last season or the season before didn’t they take out latency? So how did it come back?
@@raylott9413the patch at the end of last season got me personally. It lasted for the first day or 2 of this season, but seems to be fixed now
For me definitely feels like my green window moved up a couple frames. But figured that was them changing the speed of big man jumpshots. Either way it's not something that can break your shot. You just may need a thirst quencher boost to add consistency to your animation.

There’s a difference between a lil bit of online latency vs the latency that was inputted into the shot in the beginning of the game. Idk if you play pro am but go in there and shoot a shot vs the rec. the shot feels 100x different. It seems like there’s more delay to your shot in pro am.

Exactly. And the same issues from previous years still exist. That makes no sense.. and i cant but Gatorade boost still. Said that purchase failed because price of item in cart changed.. so they really are being stingy over the 25% discount that they allow you to get in the little reaction time drill. But then make up some nonsense.. 2k is the worst. And gets worse every year. Eventually they'll prob charge per match. Greedy AF 😔

Yeah I've noticed since season 5 started their servers have been terrible, like it feels like there's no point in learning your jumper anymore because you'll still get a random timing at any given moment in the game. I do very long Gatorade gym sessions with a build/jump shot before I ever play an online game with them until I find the right shot that I can hit consistently without missing and it feels like that's impossible to do with the current server states.

Facts!
I’ve noticed recently if you shoot at a high efficiency over 70% in general in any game mode online like rec, your game starts lagging. Then it goes back to normal when you shoot bad in one game. I don’t know it could be just me 🤷🏾♂️
I never missed wide open as much as I did these last few days it’s crazy

Bro i stopped playing for like a month when i was shooting 57% in rec came back and couldn’t hit anything. I’ve had the same jumper since December and can green with my eyes closed now all of a sudden im bricking. I hate 2k😂😂
When 24 came out I officially became washed at 2k
Been using Push since they removed the delay in Season 2. Used Early in 23 and Set Point in S1 of 24 but jumpshots didn't feel the same after. Got used to Push now tho and it's been working really well for me 💪🏽
Jump cue is when you toes is Pointing down to the floor
I think imo what made me a better shooter is to no longer look at my hands. I’m timing my jumper by when my players jumps off the floor to attempt a jumper. When he’s in the air I release the square button.

It’s gotta be intentional. Me and my friends played Sunday morning and all of us shot fine. We get off and got back on a bit later and every one of us was shooting slightly late. There’s no way 5 different people are all off the exact same at the exact same time.
Depending on what time of day I get on my shot is faster or slower by a noticeable amount. No settings have changed and the jump shot is the same.
Just as what I mentioned on the video, “fluctuation of latency”. Maybe your server’s connection worsen so all of you guys were affected.
@@nba2ktutes do you think the addition of crossplay has made latency worse this year? I’ve never had such inconsistencies with shooting in the past on either old gen or new, the only real change has been the addition of crossplay which they realistically weren’t equipped to actually do properly
Easy answer to your problem, bro. Sunday mornin way less ppl playin 2k, servers arent loaded so low latency.
Afternoon/evenin more ppl playin. More ppl means higher load on the servers and that means higher latency
@@nxn_2k the issue is this hasn’t happened in any other 2k. Never had an issue with latency being this inconsistent. Don’t get me wrong there’s alway latency and delay in 2k online, but the way it changes this year as seen in the video is crazy. Release going from the edge of your fingertips being the green to the ball being halfway to the rim os horrible.
The only thing that’s changed this year is the addition of crossplay. So clearly they aren’t equipped to handle this and need to just scrap it
@@cheryltunt6934 there are other factors like the game environment. Like last year 23 first season, 2k had to fix the City, blurr out the backround of a park game to lower latency cause it wasnt playable the game loaded the servers and ppls connections too much and this year same problem. Look how much is goin on in the City
Forgot visual cue being changed my 99 Strength 99 Standing dunk build has been nerfed hard any 1 else have the same problem?

It’s honestly by design it’s a system in place to make everyone miss including the latency issue, I never seen anything like this… this is my hardest shooting year on 2k ever online, offline different story
I actually believe them when they say they aren’t patching jumpshots. But they do make other changes that may indirectly effect them. In this case and historically, 2K don’t like to spend their on servers. This is one of the only online games where the community has just accepted it, but it’s poor standards especially for the amount of money we pay.

bro i wish visual que was my problem my fuckin issue is wether or not the game wants to work on any given day. park is nearly unplayable 90% of the time the framing is soooo bad and rec isn’t immune to it either. i have barley touched park because its actually unplayable pretty much every day it feels like i’m on ps4
Spent hours creating a jump shot took me about 5 days 😭 shot cue Fs changed over time but wait until the season is mid form you will be green

Bro I’m ona monitor 1ms top tier WiFi and I have to tap my jumper with release timing. Shi feels like I’m using jump idk how to fix it. I shoot 70% frm 3 every szn

My thi is when I do a lay up It’ll show I’m not in the green window in till after I release it but won’t be a green and I’m wide tf open especially on reverse lay ups at a 86 layup

Sunday i couldn't hit a shot with my jumpshot. I use tmac base with troy brown jr and rui release 65 rui. Then monday was back to normal. I just think you have a off day and want to blame 2k.
So which one do you suggest using Tutes? I currently just switched to release (before watching this video) because I play competitive pro am and I need to be able to have time to adjust my shot timing based on all the different types of timings. But this video makes it to where I have no idea which one is best? Great video but now I’m super confused 😕
My visual cue changes on the daily and in each mode like park pro am stage etc

Hey tutes I’ve noticed motion styles effect defensive animations and body ups and even vertical contest and box out etc.. can you retest what’s the best one . A friend of mine thought his dribble speed might be affected also I told him that it’s more likely his dribble style , please lmk any thoughts on this.

I’ve played a couple thousand games and I’ve noticed a difference with the three motions styles I rotate depending on who I’m running with in 3’s. Your defensive animations are definitely affected by your motion style and combination of stat threshold and badges … in certain cases it allows you to play bigger then what you are I’ve seen the video your referencing idk that he used a my player with longer or shorter wingspans and weights badges etc… it’s worth looking into again as it would effect the list I no longer use banks based on my own findings .

They didn’t change the visual cues. They changed made changes to fix the latency. This is how the game was supposed to be upon release. The jumpshot speed yall r experiencing right now. Is what ur speed was sup to be in the first place.
Wait till yall learn what peer to peer (p2p) session is.. Ill let yall do your research.. All imma say is that 2k isnt using dedicated servers to host their games. The end users are by combining their resources to have the session run.. read about the downsides of p2p in gaming

Ex: using push timing, with releases thats not blended to look like their player is pushing the ball or releases so fast they can barely see when the push is & blaming 2k when they have a game or day they’re not timing their shot as good
If you can't "feel" out the jumper by now then it ain't it. I don't look at any visual que I go off feel always will. And I shoot over 60% from 3 in the hardest game modes. Don't over think it just let it fly!

Did you not watch the video? Server latency has nothing to do with internet connection. You can have the best connection in the world and still experience latency. It’s on 2k’s side. So something beyond everyone’s control is drastically changing their shots constantly.

Ehhh. I don't know. I think the more you pay attention to all this "news" about supposed secret patches the more you THINK things are changing and the more it messes with your head/game (I know 2k patches some stuff every year, but they're not in there tinkering with 1 part of a specific jumpshot imo). I decided a while ago to stop worrying about all this stuff and just play to save my sanity. I don't buy boosts (in fact, I don't even check if I have boosts because I don't want it to mess with my head), I don't change jumpers if I have a bad game, etc. I'll have good nights, so-so nights, and a few bad nights throughout a season. But I've had the same two jump shots (one for my bigs, one for my guards) since season 2 and I've averaged either just above or just below 60% from 3 every single season.
Damn it feels good to be a Diming Slasher 💪🤌👌🫡
