Shooting is fine game is just horrible gonna quit playing same with many others if they don’t get rid of the early and late releases when it’s obvious you aren’t shooting that
Top man… mine was set to push but I have been doing the release motion as that is what felt natural to me but was throwing bricks lol just switched to release and timing is excellent 🔥
Appreciate you sm man. I’ve been shooting terrible this year so far and did not understand the shooting mechanics at all for shot timing. Didn’t matter if bar was on or off I was a brick 😂 after watching this video I changed from set point to push and have been shooting lights out! Ur the man
My thing is adjusting to the different latency in park. Like i can green all day in the gym, but soon as a go to park that little bit of delay just throws everything off for me
What I realised is it's ALL about the animation, some jumpshot animations work pretty well with the jump visual cue and this applies to the rest of the visual cues, so find a jumpshot animation you like and find which visual cue works best with it for you OR pick your preferred visual cue and find the jump that works well with it
@@logangilliam6502 it’s quick. I just moved to set point after that update. It’s perfect for me. And gives me time to adjust due to how 2k changes your shot
This. Although I don't understand why timing stability helps when you're contested, seems like the "defensive immunity" stat should be just fine for that. Personally, if a jumper doesn't at least have an A- stability, I'm ignoring it. I'd rather A- stability and B+ defensive immunity than the other way around.
@@youngtruth9563I have a 6’2 3pt shot hunter I play rec with, I can hit from basically anywhere. The best jump shot for me personally is (base:curry) (Oscar Robertson for the first release and curry for second 4/4. I can’t remember the blending but it’s wet
Nice video. Haven't tried other visual clues than push. Very comfortable with my 78 3pointers. But I have all my hot zones, my boost and looking just for the animations for years. My friends didn't listen to the tips and ignored it. This year they are complaining all the time cause 2k didn't do their jobs. Now they are asking for my opinions and tips 😂sent the video to my crew and any other questions they have I will answer with only this video as the reference 😂 Thanks mate, and for the others: out of the millions clickbaiters, this man is one of the few real 2k players with knowledge u can rely to. This is weird but hear me out. I feel like mentally push is what we look for . But release is what our muscle memory correlates to push… it’s like layups tbh… u wanna let go when ur hands are fully extended… so settings wise for shots release makes sense and push only confuses your brain.. I can shoot and have tried many jumpers but release seems more like natural as if you really shot the shot yourself
Best video now I can shoot with no meter I think this video should be most liked and viewed for the tips and help other videos did not help but this one did😊
Thanks bro, i get the game on ps plus and my build got a low 3pt rating, the jump cue, the elbow thing and Bismack Byombo jumper are helping on this new build
Another place to practice is the team practice facility before games. Best for the most reps. Agree with shooting over disco helps w badge progression like you said.
What I’ve learned about “set point” is it’s release 1 .. it’s basically the at the top point of release 1 before going into the release 2 .. I’m using step curry for R1 and Kyrie for R2.. I can use either push or set point but I prefer push because set point is a much faster release when open and even faster when contested so I’m more inconsistent with SP. But thanks for the tips bro you definitely have a sub here ! 🫡
Thank you for breaking it down this actually makes sense to the average 2k player and pros I just got the game today and was wondering why shooting felt weird I’m a meter off kinda guy so I’m looking for my indicators and couldn’t understand them thanks
Best shooting tutorial video yet for 2K 24… Thanks bro I’m trying all of this. I had done a few of these items already and will use your advice. I have a 611 Big with a 83 point shooter. I can nail them in my career and practice drills have not figured out timing in the rec yet.
I use jump, and 2k said its only 1ms off from set point. And it feels that way, you just release as soon as your hand starts the flicking motion, on the jump setting.
I have been shooting no meter now for years I use to be trash , now you can't leave me open . I want to thank you for this video I can now work on being consistent 👍👍🫡🫡 respect.

i wish i knew about the green boost a few years ago. i went blind in my right eye back in 2020 and stopped looking at the meter as often. so i could've been getting a boost for something i do anyway?????
Damn your video helped a lot 🙏🏾. Missed the last few 2ks. I'm trying to get back to the grind. What shot form are you using in the video. It's nice. Thanks
If your on a wifi connection try to get a ethenret cord wired connection. Its way closer to career gameas when you play park than if u do it on wifi. And i also noticed wired controllers have less input lag. 2klab proved it but said its not a HUGE difference but fuck we over here wanting every lil extra % chance we got lol
I be using Jump In my opinion I believe jump is right before your player flicks his wrist or release the ball but I’m not gonna lie your timing truly has to be impeccable to use it’s truly annoying so I might go back to push 😅
Hoepfully I helped some of y'all out! Now go out there drop some people off with these new shooting tips!

This what I had to do. Some jumpers on certain options don’t have an actual cue you can see. I just went to jump because I can see the cue perfectly.

FYI timing stability matters ! it’ll essentially keep your shot close to the same when you’re contested or low stamina

I think with jump the easiest visual cue is to watch your feet, when your player starts to come back to the ground your release
WhT jump shot do you use for it doe ?
Turn off player indicator. When your toes curl on balls of feet, release. Remember, knees bend first, then balls of feet. Look at top of shoes.
That hand wrap is a nice touch. Helps with the visual
